Match officials confirmed for 2025 Nathaniel MG Cup Final

Aaron Wyn Jones has been selected as the Referee for the 2025 Nathaniel MG Cup Final between Aberystwyth Town and The New Saints.

Jones, who became a FIFA International Referee at the start of this year, was the Fourth Official for last season’s JD Welsh Cup Final. He officiated the Welsh Blood Service League Cup National Final in 2023 in addition to the FAW Youth Cup Final and JD Cymru Premier Play-Off Final in 2022.

Established JD Cymru Premier officials Connor Fowler and Matthew Johnson will be the Assistant Referees at Latham Park on Friday night.

It follows Fowler’s appointment in Aberystwyth Town’s semi-final win over Cardiff City, while he was also the Assistant Referee for semi-final ties in the Nathaniel MG Cup, JD Welsh Cup and Bute Energy Welsh Cup last season.

Johnson also officiated in the Nathaniel MG Cup semi-finals last season, before being selected as an Assistant Referee for the Welsh Blood Service League Cup National Final three months later. He was part of the refereeing team in back-to-back Genero Adran Trophy Finals in 2021 and 2022.

The Fourth Official will be Ryan Kenny. A regular in the JD Cymru Premier, Kenny was the Referee for the 2023 FAW Youth Cup Final.
