Newly-promoted Porthmadog made it two wins from their opening two matches in the Novira Cymru North with an impressive 1-0 victory over Rhyl 1879 at Y Traeth.
Rhyl 1879 enjoyed the majority of possession but were unable to convert their chances, while Porthmadog also created a number of opportunities of their own.
The hosts’ substitutes ultimately proved crucial, with the decisive moment arriving with just six minutes left to play as substitute Luke Baum, who had only been on the pitch for 14 minutes, ran onto Ryan Williams’ accurate long ball and fired past Luke Riley to give Port another hard-fought win.
Guilsfield scored two stoppage-time goals to earn a dramatic 3-2 victory over Mold Alexandra in the Novira Cymru North at Clos Mytton on Saturday.
Morgan Roberts headed home from a corner and Kieran Owens sent a powerful strike into the net from distance for his first Mold goal as the visitors established a two-goal lead after 51 minutes played.
However, Guilsfield began their fightback with 15 minutes remaining as Jake Cook’s flick was turned into the net by Mold’s Rhys Nash.

The drama did not end there as the Guils snatched victory with virtually the last kick of the game as Callum Bromley met Cook’s free-kick and headed beyond Joe Angus.
Jamie Hyne scored twice as Newtown continued their winning start to the season with a 5-0 victory over Penrhyncoch at Latham Park.
Hyne put Newtown ahead inside just seven minutes as he received Hanoch Boakye’s pass and finished confidently past Leigh Jenkins. New signing Josh Astley then bagged his first goal for Newtown on 19 minutes as he rose highest to head home from Jolyon Harries’ corner.
Hyne made it 3-0 by the half-hour mark as the forward tucked away the rebound from his own saved effort. Hyne was involved once more as he laid the ball off to Gareth Evans, whose strike deflected past Jenkins to fully put the game to bed.
The Robins capped off a convincing display late on as substitute Manny Osei met Alfie Clark’s low cross and simply tapped in from close range for his first senior goal for the club. Jay Owen’s side have now scored eight goals across their opening two league matches and are yet to concede.
Novira Cymru North newcomers Llanuwchllyn marked their first ever Novira Cymru North home fixture with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Buckley Town.
Both teams went into the break goalless, but Gwydion Roberts and Meilir Williams scored within the space of 10 minutes early in the second half to put Llanuwchllyn in control.
Buckley substitute Paul Johnson produced a great header to give Dave Evans’ side a lifeline, but Llanuwchllyn held on to claim a memorable win.
Colin Caton’s return to Maes Tegid ended in defeat as Novira Cymru North title favourites Bala Town edged past Ruthin Town 2-1 in Friday night’s sole fixture.
Bala goalkeeper Rhys Williams was forced off with injury after half an hour played, and with no recognised substitute goalkeeper, forward John Owen went in between the sticks and made some crucial saves to keep the scoreline goalless at half time.
Bala made a dream start to the second half as Craig Lindfield’s header from close range and Iwan Lewis’ strike on the rebound put the Lakesiders two goals to the good within the first seven minutes after the restart.
Ruthin eventually found a way past Owen as substitute Ethan Davies made things interesting late on, but Bala survived the scare to give Caton’s former assistant Steve Fisher consecutive wins to start the season.
Brickfield Rangers are also on six points after their first two matches as Gary Wilson’s side secured a 2-1 win away to Holyhead Hotspur.
Sam Flory followed up his goal against Llanuwchllyn on the opening weekend to put Brickfield ahead with a deft lob over Guto Hughes midway through the second half.
Jay Richardson gave Brickfield comfort in stoppage-time with his third goal of the season already. Holyhead substitute Craig Whelan quickly halved the deficit, but it was too late for the hosts to push for an equaliser.
Bangor 1876 avenged their opening day defeat to Bala Town with an impressive 2-1 victory over Denbigh Town at Central Park in Saturday’s early kick-off.
Novira Cymru North
Former Novira Cymru Premier title winner Declan McManus scored for the second week in a row as he tapped home from Connor Evans’ flick-on to put Bangor in front just four minutes into the second half.
McManus returned the favour to his teammate on 67 minutes as the Scotsman laid the ball out to Evans, who struck a powerful shot into the net from the edge of the area.
Harry Martin marked his Denbigh debut with a goal as he headed in from Nathan Brown’s free-kick. Dewi Llion’s side had all the momentum in the closing stages, but were unable to find an equaliser, meaning Bangor took home all three points.
Caersws earned their first victory of the season with a narrow 1-0 win over Gresford Athletic at the Caersws Recreation Ground.
Both sides were level for the majority of the match, but a pinpoint cross from Rhys Hesden was met by Craig Harris, who headed home in the 76th minute to find a crucial breakthrough and maintain the Bluebirds’ unbeaten start.
