A Disciplinary Panel of the Football Association of Wales met on Tuesday 20 January to consider the claim of wrongful dismissal submitted by Cardiff Met FC for the red card shown to Samuel Seager, for ‘Denying the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by deliberating handling the ball’, in the JD Cymru Premier fixture between Penybont FC and Cardiff Met FC on 13 January 2026.
After carefully considering the written and video evidence submitted, the Panel unanimously decided that the claim is successful.
In accordance with paragraph 5(d) FAW Discipline Procedures, the dismissal will remain on the record of Samuel Seager and the administration fee remains payable, however the standard punishment of a 1-match suspension is withdrawn with immediate effect.
