Genero Adran South 2025/26 Team of the Season – see who made it

The 2025/26 Genero Adran South Team of the Season was announced at the FAW National League Awards in association with Morgans Consult, on Saturday, 16 May.

For the first time, supporters were invited to vote for the Team of the Season, with the final selections determined by a combination of public votes and an independent panel to ensure a balanced outcome.

The final XI includes five players from Cardiff Met, two from Cascade, and one each from Cwmbran Celtic, Carmarthen Town, and Pure Swansea.

Genero Adran South 2025/26 Team of the Season

GK: Violet Bell (Cardiff Met)

The 19-year-old was a hero in the shootout, doing enough to put the penalty takers off their rhythm while also making a crucial save. Cardiff Met have two high-quality goalkeepers in Bell and Verity Jones, with Bell ultimately fighting off strong competition both internally and externally to establish herself.

RB: Faith Mulenga (Cardiff Met)

Mulenga scored a stunning late goal in the Adran Leagues Play-Off Final to take the game to penalties. One of several players who remained with the squad following relegation, she has benefited from a full season of regular football, rebuilding confidence and momentum.

CB: Celyn Garton (Cardiff Met)

Another member of the squad that suffered relegation, Garton has also benefited from a season of rebuilding confidence. The 21-year-old has been solid defensively while also contributing goals and assists, adding an extra dimension to her game.

CB: Casey Thomas (Cascade)

Cascade finished the campaign strongly, going unbeaten from January through to the end of the season. In that run, they conceded just eight goals in their final nine matches, with Thomas playing a key role in their defensive stability.

LB: Carys Gittins (Cardiff Met)

Gittins has been crucial to a solid defensive unit in the Genero Adran South, while also posing a threat going forward. The 21-year-old featured in almost every minute of Cardiff Met’s season, highlighting her consistency and importance.

CM: Cerys Pinchard (Cwmbran Celtic)

The former Cardiff City midfielder returned from a spell in the United States to anchor Cwmbran Celtic’s midfield. The 25-year-old recorded three assists and one goal, featuring in 12 of her side’s 14 matches.

CM: Anna Houghton (Cardiff Met)

A versatile attacking midfielder, Houghton has established herself as one of the division’s most creative players this season. She registered nine goal contributions in the Genero Adran South, with her top-flight experience evident as she helped inspire Cardiff Met to the title.

CM: Ophelia Jenkins (Carmarthen Town)

The 17-year-old attacking midfielder enjoyed a standout debut senior season, recording 10 goal contributions in 13 appearances. A former Cymru U16 international, Jenkins has lit up the Genero Adran South. Coming from a strong footballing family, with Flavia also at Carmarthen Town and Nieve featuring for Cardiff City, her rise has been one of the stories of the season.

RW: Annabel Stokes (Pure Swansea)

The teenager joined from Tunbridge Wells Foresters in 2024 and made an immediate impact with five goals in five last year and scoring nine goals in her second season for Chris Church’s side.

ST: Esme Kilburn-Thompson (Cardiff Met)

After recovering from a long-term injury that ruled her out last season, Kilburn-Thompson returned in style, scoring 13 goals to win the Golden Boot and also claiming the Player of the Season award.

LW: Ellis Lunn (Cascade)

Cascade’s early-season relegation concerns were turned around in large part thanks to Lunn’s influence. She narrowly missed out on the Golden Boot but still scored 12 goals, including hat-tricks against Carmarthen Town and Taffs Well.
