Swansea City marked their return to the Swansea.com Stadium with a 2-1 win over Wrexham in front of a club record crowd of 3,859 on Sunday afternoon.

Chris Church’s side had to come from behind to earn the three points, as the visitors took the lead in the 13thminute when Carra Jones finished from close range after Claire Skinner was only able to parry Amber Lightfoot’s shot.

The Swans drew level early in the second half when Ellie Lake drove forward and fired a shot past Del Morgan, before captain Katy Hosford won it in the 66th minute when she latched onto Nieve Jenkins’ pass and poked the ball home.

Earlier in the day, league leaders Cardiff City earned a sixth consecutive league win by triumphing 3-0 over Cardiff Met.

Mackenzie Olden’s first league goal for the Bluebirds opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, before Seren Watkins doubled their lead three minutes into the second half when she fired home on the left hand side.

Watkins wrapped up the win late on by scoring from the penalty spot after Eliza Collie had been brought down in the box.

Aberystwyth Town moved up to fourth in the table by ending their three-match losing streak with a 2-0 victory away at Barry Town United.

Lleucu Mathias scored both goals in the space of four minutes in the first half, first bundling home Gwen Jones’ cross at the back post before producing a composed finish fast Erin Brennan after being played in by Amy Jenkins.
