Barry Town United win Genero Adran South U19 title

Barry Town United secured the Genero Adran South U19 title for the first time with an emphatic 12-0 win away at Cascade on Friday night.

With reigning champions Cardiff City hot on their heels, Barry knew that victory on Friday would clinch the title and they put in a magnificent display in Ystrad Mynach.

There were hat-tricks for Scarlett Davies and Lucy Coles and a brace for Megan-Ruby Clarke, alongside one each for captain Amelia Herbert and substitutes Nia Davies and Ffion John. Even goalkeeper Molly Arnesen got in on the act as she scored from the penalty spot.

Of their 20 league games this season, Barry have won 17, draw one and lost two – scoring 99 goals and conceding just 17.

They will now take on Genero Adran North U19 champions Connah’s Quay Nomads in the national final at Latham Park on Sunday 21 April.
