Connah’s Quay Nomads clinched the Genero Adran North title with 2-0 win over Flint Town United at Deeside on Sunday afternoon.
After missing the chance to secure top spot last weekend, Jordan Parry’s side did not slip up on this occasion as first half goals from Phoebe Ellis and Mel Barlow earned victory against the Silkwomen.
It is now back-to-back Genero Adran North titles for the Nomads, who won every league game on their way to lifting the trophy last season. They have been near-perfect again in 2025/26, winning nine of their 11 matches so far – only dropping points in two goalless draws against Llandudno. In fact it is over two years since the Flintshire side lost a league game.
The Nomads have scored 47 goals in their 11 games so far, conceding just eight. Ella Jones has starred with 20 of those goals, supported by captain Polly Wild-McGregor and teenagers Megan Galeandro and Hannah Slack.
Providing their achieve a Tier 1 licence, the Nomads will compete against Genero Adran South champions Cardiff Met in the Adran Leagues Promotion Play-Off, for the right to play in the Genero Adran Premier next season, on Sunday 26 April.
It will be a chance for Jordan Parry’s side to banish the memories of last season’s play-off, when they led by two goals against Pontypridd United but ultimately suffered a heartbreaking 3-2 defeat.
