The 2025/26 Genero Adran North season gets under way this weekend, with plenty of excitement around the new campaign.
Connah’s Quay Nomads won all 14 league games last season – scoring 67 goals and conceding just six – to win the title at a canter, but suffered an agonising 3-2 defeat to Pontypridd United in the promotion play-off despite being two goals up at half-time.
Jordan Parry’s side will fancy their chances of claiming top spot in the Genero Adran North again, having maintained the majority of last season’s squad – most crucially captain Polly Wild-McGregor, who scored 21 league goals in 2024/25 to earn the division’s Player and Young Player of the Season awards.
However, teenage goalkeeper Molly France has departed – with defender Aimee Redfern playing in-between the sticks for the first two Genero Adran Trophy group matches – while Paris Schofield signed from Llanfair United in the summer but has this week returned to the Powys club. Other new arrivals Megan Galeandro and Libby Mackenzie – a promotion winner with Wrexham in 2023 – are solid additions.

Llanfair United emerged as the closest challengers to the Nomads last season, as they won 10 of their 14 matches to finish in second place under the guidance of player-manager Lucie Gwilt.
Harriet Davies remains the key threat at Mount Field after scoring 14 goals in the Genero Adran North last season – only Polly Wild-McGregor found the net on more occasions in the division.
Paris Schofield’s return after her brief stint at Connah’s Quay is a significant boost. The 20-year-old makes Llanfair tick in midfield and was nominated for the Genero Adran North Young Player of the Season award in 2024/25.
If history is anything to go by, Llandudno will be title contenders this year – the Seasiders have lifted the trophy every other year (2022 and 2024) since the Genero Adran North’s formation.
It was a disappointing campaign for Llandudno last term as they finished fourth, but they have won their opening two Genero Adran Trophy group matches in 2025/26 – including a statement victory over Connah’s Quay Nomads.

The likes of Kelsey Davies and Maddie Williams are established players in the Genero Adran North and will be crucial to Llandudno’s ambitions again, while new arrivals Seren Cashen, Hannah Owen and Jessica Mills have all impressed so far.
Felinheli have finished third in each of the last two Genero Adran North campaigns, so will hope for another strong season this time around.
Fflur Williams was top scorer last season but has not played a part in Felinheli’s opening two Genero Adran Trophy fixtures, while 38-year-old Jenna Tugwell-Allsup continues to play a crucial role in midfield.
The experience of the likes of Tugwell-Allsup and Jordanne Greenough is complemented by the youthful of promise of teenagers Rubie Davies, Sara Baines and Elsi Williams who are quickly becoming important parts of the side.
Flint Town United held their own in their debut Genero Adran North campaign in 2024/25 as they finished fifth, but will now have ambitions of climbing the table – particularly after winning their opening two Genero Adran Trophy group matches to reach the knockouts with a game to spare.

Oli Williams has maintained his well-gelled squad, which includes last season’s top scorer Zoe Stopford, exciting young midfielder Rosie Hughes and full-back Taylia Chaloner who was included in the 2024/25 Genero Adran North Team of the Season.
Rebecca Eagles has arrived from Rhyl 1879 and already scored twice in the Genero Adran Trophy to help defeat Llanfair United, while Shannon Hobbs brings plenty of experience in the division following six years at Connah’s Quay Nomads.
2024/25 was a challenging campaign for Bangor as they finished seventh and won just two league matches – but one of those victories did impressively come against then-reigning champions Llandudno.
There have been plenty of new arrivals over the summer, including Ffion Thomas – who impressed for third tier Llangefni Town at the back end of last season – and 16-year-old Holly Owen-Roberts who has been capped by Cymru at Under-16 level.
Menna Evans, the Genero Adran North Young Player of the Season in 2023/24, is still only 19 years old and offers plenty of excitement, while captain Ffion Bee leads by example in defence.

Berriew are this season’s newly-promoted side after winning the North East Wales Women’s Football League East title in 2024/25.
Regina Hanratty’s side won 11 of their 12 league matches on the way to lifting the trophy, scoring 60 goals. Life in the second tier has begun with two encouraging displays in the Genero Adran Trophy – a narrow 1-0 defeat against Connah’s Quay Nomads and a 2-2 draw with Felinheli.
Gemma Jones and Hannah Richards starred last season with 16 league goals each, while goalkeeper Sarah Parkes has Genero Adran Premier experience with The New Saints and kept eight clean sheets in 10 league games last term.
