Bangor’s clash against Rhyl 1879 at Nantporth should certainly have plenty of bite, particularly as it is a first game in the Genero Adran North for the hosts.
Bangor went unbeaten on their way to winning the NWWFL title last season, winning 20 of their 22 matches and scoring 120 goals, but they have seen multiple key players depart over the summer.
Rhyl have recruited well as they attempt to improve on their fifth-place finish in the Genero Adran North last season, with new forward Sade Benjamin likely to be keen to add to the brace she scored for NFA against Bangor in 2022/23.
Connah’s Quay Nomads may start the season as favourites to win the Genero Adran North title after finishing second to Wrexham last term, winning nine of their 12 league matches.
Jordan Parry’s side kick off against Flintshire neighbours Airbus UK Broughton, who finished bottom of the division last season.
The Nomads won both of the two league meetings between the sides in 2022/23, while they also overcame the Wingmakers in the NEWFA Cup final in May.
NFA make their Genero Adran North debut home turf against Llandudno. The Rhyl-based outfit finished fourth in the NWWFL last season, scoring 105 goals in just 21 matches.
Llandudno, Genero Adran North champions in 2021/22, have recruited well as they attempt to challenge for top spot once again.
Finally, Llanfair United and Felinheli meet at Mount Field after finishing four points apart in sixth and fourth respectively in the Genero Adran North last season.
Jordanne Greenough scored the only goal in a 1-0 win for Felinheli when the two clubs last met in March, following an entertaining 2-2 draw earlier in the campaign – when Fflur Williams and Harriet Davies both bagged braces.
