Genero Adran South round-up | Cascade return to winning ways with emphatic victory over Llanelli Town

Cascade returned to winning ways in the Genero Adran South in emphatic style with a 5-0 victory against Llanelli Town at Stebonheath.

After failing to win their last two matches, Anny Lewis and Lauren Boyd gave Cascade a late first half lead, which they brilliant built on after the break as substitute Mia Kemp made an instant impact with her clinical double before Lewis also got her second of the afternoon.

Cwmbran Celtic and Swansea University were forced to settle for a point each in a thoroughly entertaining 3-3 draw at Celtic Park.

Jade Crofts cancelled out Hannah Perkins’ opener, before a dramatic final 22 minutes. Eloise Meaney fired Celtic ahead for the first time in the game in the 68th minute, but the forward spurned a glorious opportunity to add a third just moments later as she failed to hit the target from the penalty spot.

The hosts did eventually open up a two goal cushion when Fiona Anthony netted her eighth goal of the season, but they were unable to hold onto all three points as late strikes from Jess Goucher and Charley Haynes salvaged a point for Dan Sheehan’s side.

Caldicot Town produced a tremendous first half display to defeat Pontardawe Town 4-2 at Jubilee Way as the visitors’ woes in the league continued.

The scoreline was level midway through the first half as Pontardawe captain Keira Harris cancelled out Emily Humphreys’ early strike, but two goals in the space of just 60 seconds from Millie Pearce and Josie Day put Caldicot into a 3-1 lead.

Things got even better for the home side as Lucy McDonough fired home to make it the first time that Caldicot have scored four in a league match since October 2022. Becca Rees pulled one back for Pontardawe, but they were unable to conjure up a late comeback.
