Following the conclusion of the Nathaniel MG Cup first round, the Round Two match ups – to be played across 1-3 August – have been confirmed.
The draws for both rounds were made at the same time last month, leaving some clubs waiting to find out who their second round opponents would be. Round Two is also the stage where the second tier clubs with a first round bye and the JD Cymru Premier clubs enter the competition.
Wildcards Cardiff City and Swansea City both made it through Round One and will now take on Cambrian United and Afan Lido respectively.
Trefelin defeated Caerau Ely 4-3 in a thrilling encounter to set up a home tie against Penybont, while Newport City – the final team to secure their Round Two spot – will travel to Haverfordwest County. Guilsfield caused an upset by knocking out Bala Town two years ago and they will face the Lakesiders again after a convincing first round victory over Mold Alexandra.
It was already confirmed that Caernarfon Town and Colwyn Bay will meet in an enticing clash, while there is a derby on the cards between Flint Town United and Holywell Town. The only all-JD Cymru Premier tie sees cup holders The New Saints host Airbus UK Broughton.
