Bala Town moved to within two points of safety in the JD Cymru Premier with an emphatic 5-0 win over Llanelli Town at Stebonheath on Good Friday.
Bala were gifted the lead after just 11 minutes played in south Wales as a mistimed header from Jamie Baker allowed in-form striker Cameron Ferguson to pick up the pieces and send a clinical effort beyond Alex Pennock for his fourth goal in four games.
The Lakesiders doubled their advantage on 26 minutes as captain Ross White met Sam Billington’s corner at the back post and dropped his header into the net from close range for his first competitive goal since September 2024.

There was no let up from the visitors, who established a four-goal lead within the first 10 minutes of the second half as Jacob Tarasenko met Lassana Mendes’ and steered home his half volley before Billington controlled a loose ball on the edge of the area and sent a stunning strike into the top corner, leaving Pennock no chance of the save.
Tarasenko grabbed his second of the afternoon late on as Charlie Fisher – son of manager Steve Fisher – played a pinpoint diagonal ball over to the Australian, who slotted home when one-on-one with Pennock.

The relegation battle will go down to the final day of the season after 10th-place Flint Town United lost to Haverfordwest County, who strengthened their position at the top of the Play-Off Conference with a 1-0 win at the Essity Stadium.
The decisive moment in Flintshire arrived on the stroke of half-time as Corey Shephard intercepted Jack Thorn’s pass and slipped through Ben Ahmun, who shaped himself onto his left foot and finished into the bottom corner from close range for his 12th league goal of the season.
Flint pushed for an equaliser in the second half, but Elliott Reeves and Ben Woollam were unable to hit the target with their free headers. Darren Stephenson went closest for the home side when his looping header clipped the post, but despite their pressure, the Silkmen went home empty handed.

Flint will look to bounce back in their JD Welsh Cup final against Caernarfon Town next weekend, while they will also have to at least match Bala’s result on the final day to avoid relegation.
Champions The New Saints lifted their record-extending 18th league title following a 2-1 victory over Connah’s Quay Nomads at Park Hall.
The Nomads came extremely close to finding the breakthrough in the first half when Max Woodcock’s curling effort from just inside the area was denied by the crossbar.
Despite an evenly contested first half, Saints opened up a two-goal lead within the first seven minutes after the restart.
A mistake from Nomads defender Dan Roberts allowed Rory Holden to retrieve a loose ball and play through Jordan Williams, who slotted home his 26th league goal of the season to open the scoring. Ryan Brobbel then quickly doubled the advantage as his strike deflected off Dan Cowan and beyond Kit Margetson.

Connah’s Quay found a lifeline late on as Somalian international Abdi Sharif fired home at the back post for his first ever Nomads goal. However, TNS goalkeeper Nathan Shepperd made crucial saves to deny Harry Franklin and teenager Conor Partridge in stoppage-time as the champions were able to enjoy their trophy lift with three points in the bag.
Caernarfon Town earned their first away victory of 2026 with an impressive 2-0 triumph over Colwyn Bay at the Blue Turtle Arena.
A staggering 2,357 fans were up in north Wales to watch this fixture as it achieved the fifth-highest attendance in JD Cymru Premier history, and the occasion certainly did not disappoint.
Sol Forde made a crucial goal-line clearance to deny Sion Bradley in the first half, but the Bay defender headed the ball from Adrian Cieslewicz’s cross into his own net on 57 minutes as Caernarfon found the breakthrough.

Bradley nearly added his name to the scoresheet with a stunning strike on the edge of the area which rattled the post. However, it would not be long before Richard Davies’ side actually doubled their lead as Zack Clarke received Bradley’s pass, cut inside and saw his low drive squirm under Alex Brown, which came to the Bay goalkeeper’s dismay.
Somehow the contest remained only at 2-0 as Forde struck the post with his close-range header before Caernarfon forward Brad Young saw his deflected strike remarkably tipped onto the post by Brown.
Caernarfon held on to claim all three points, which will massively boost their confidence heading into their first ever JD Welsh Cup final next weekend, where the Cofis will bid to lift the trophy for the first time ever and secure a return to the European stage.
Barry Town United are guaranteed a home tie in the European Play-Offs following their 2-0 victory over struggling Penybont at the DragonBet Stadium.

Barry opened the scoring with just 11 minutes on the clock as Owen Cuddihy raced onto a loose ball and slipped teenage star Ieuan Owen, who finished clinically at the near post when one-on-one with Luke Armstrong for his 11th league goal of the campaign.
Alex Cvetkovic nearly brought Bont level when his first-time effort from inside the area crashed against the post. However, Barry doubled their lead shortly before half-time as the hosts failed to clear Robbie Willmott’s free-kick, which allowed Ollie Hulbert to send a sweetly struck volley into the bottom corner.
Barry have now lost just one of their last eight matches in all competitions, while Bont are winless in 10 consecutive matches for the first time in the JD Cymru Premier.
Briton Ferry Llansawel kept their Play-Off hopes alive with a 3-1 victory over Cardiff Met at The Renewable Centre Stadium.
Ferry’s three goals all came in the first half, with captain Alex Gammond opening the scoring by meeting Kian Jenkins’ hooked cross towards the back post and heading home.

Talisman Tom Walters netted his 12th league goal of the season by running onto Jack Fanning’s powerful header upfield and slotting past the outrushing Ewan Griffiths before Jenkins rounded off a stellar first half display by nodding in on the line from Luis Bates’ cross.
Met pulled a goal back just six minutes after the restart as Fumpa Mwandwe used his pace to chase down Ferry goalkeeper Will Fuller, with the loose ball falling straight to Adam Roscrow, who was left with the simple task of tapping into an empty net for his first goal since December. The contest remained fairly quiet for the rest of the second half as Ferry held on to make it six out of seven games unbeaten.
Andy Dyer’s side have hit form at the right time, but it may be too late for them to secure a Play-Off spot as they will need to win away to Bala Town on the final day and hope current Play-Off Conference leaders Haverfordwest County lose at home to already-relegated Llanelli Town.
