Novira Cymru Leagues transfer window concludes with big moves

It proved to be a busy Bank Holiday weekend both on and off the field in the Novira Cymru Leagues as several late moves brought the transfer window to a close.

Here’s a round-up of some of the key signings from the final few days of the transfer window.

Novira Cymru Premier

Barry Town United made the biggest headlines with the arrival of striker Noah Daley from rivals Penybont for an undisclosed fee. The former Afan Lido and Carmarthen Town striker is an exciting addition to a club enjoying a perfect start to the campaign.

Flint Town United have completed the season-long loan signing of Ben Woollam from The New Saints and striker Akeei Francis who has played professionally in England and Scotland. The champions did not make any late moves, but Connah’s Quay Nomads are expected to confirm new arrivals later this week.

Sam Snaith returned to Cardiff Met on loan from Briton Ferry Llansawel and scored a hat-trick in the 5-0 win over Ammanford on Bank Holiday Monday on what has been a busy summer for the Archers. Meanwhile, the Ferry have completed the double signing of Tyrone Cadeau and the returning Mitchel Bates.

Llandudno have strengthened their squad with the arrivals of Jayden Lloyd and striker Niall Flint while Alex Moore has returned to Colwyn Bay on-loan from Wrexham. Airbus UK Broughton have completed the signing of Jack Parry from Rhyl 1879 while Ieaun Jones-Wellstead has been loaned to Llay Miners Welfare.

Haverfordwest County completed two loan signings with Jacob Owen arriving from The New Saints and Cody Twose who joins from Cardiff City, while Trefelin have completed the loan signing of Louis Phillips, also from The New Saints.

Meanwhile, Holywell Town added two defensive signings over the weekend as Harvey Morris joined on loan from Connah’s Quay Nomads together with Jack Tierney, who has previously played in the English pyramid system.

Novira Cymru North

There wasn’t too much late transfer activity in the Novira Cymru North. Holyhead Hotspur have strengthened their midfield with the signing Caio Evans from Porthmadog, while Guilsfield have confirmed the signing of striker Jake O’Donnell from Forden United.

Issa Kargbo and his brother Uniss have joined Newtown on loan from Colwyn Bay while the Robins have also signed experienced duo Christoph Aziamale and Danny Andrews as they look to build on their undefeated start to the season.

Rhyl 1879 have signed Flint Town United Academy graduate Jack Coll on-loan while Oli Blayney has returned to Buckley Town.

Bala Town completed their transfer business on the final day of the window with the arrival of Aron Williams on loan from Colwyn Bay.

Novira Cymru South

Cardiff Draconians were busy with the signings of Brandon Thomas from AFC Llwydcoed as well as Harry Treharne, who returns to the club following a brief spell at Caerau Ely. The club have also added defender Keegan Saunders to their ranks from Barry Town United.

Treowen Stars have signed Nathan Davies from English non-league side Westfields and are expected to make another announcement very soon, while league leaders Pure Swansea have announced the return of Tom Johnston from Ammanford.

Pontypridd United have strengthened with the addition of Jack Bevan from Llantwit Major. Meanwhile, Baglan Dragons added three names to their squad with the arrivals of Simon Anylem, Harley Lewis and Nathan Beniamous.

Llanelli Town completed the signings of Nathan Crisan and Cole Gibbings, while Callum Salter and John Hall both depart Stebonheath to join league rivals Afan Lido.

Llantwit Major completed the signing of goalkeeper Aaron Jones from Afan Lido a few days before the transfer deadline.
