Ammanford have secured promotion to the JD Cymru Premier following a 2-1 win away at Cwmbran Celtic on the final day of the JD Cymru South season.
Knowing that victory would secure third place ahead of challengers Caerau Ely, Ammanford came from behind to triumph 2-1 at Avondale Motor Park Arena.
It is a historic day for the Carmarthenshire side, who will play top-flight football for the first time in their history next season under the guidance of manager Wyn Thomas – who has the second-most appearances in JD Cymru Premier history as a player.
20-year-old Dan John has starred with 18 goals during his loan spell from Cardiff Met, while at the other end of their careers long-serving duo Euros Griffiths and Matthew Fisher complete a remarkable journey with the club having represented The Town in the fourth tier.
Ammanford complete the set of six clubs – alongside Airbus UK Broughton, Cambrian United, Holywell Town, Llandudno and Trefelin – who earn promotion to the JD Cymru Premier as it transitions to a 16-team format in 2026/27.
