Colwyn Bay came from behind to secure a 3-1 home win over Caersws on Saturday and maintain their four-point lead at the top of the JD Cymru North.
The struggling Bluebirds led at half-time after Sam Phillips scored from the penalty spot four minutes before the break, but Bay were back on level terms just nine minutes into the second half as Craig Lindfield met Ethan Roberts’ cross with a diving header into the bottom corner.
Caersws goalkeeper Max Williams kept the game level with numerous impressive saves, but his resistance was finally broken in the 80th minute when Tom Creamer finished from close range after Sam Hart’s corner was not dealt with.
A 12th consecutive home win was sealed by the Seagulls five minutes later when Jamie Cumming was fouled in the box before stepping up to score the resulting penalty spot.
Second-place Airbus UK Broughton kept the pressure on Colwyn Bay with a 3-1 win away at Penrhyncoch on Saturday, a game packed with late drama.
The match was goalless until the 85th minute when Oli Lanceley flicked the ball on to James Davies to slot home, but Penrhyncoch found a 90th minute equaliser through defender Kieran Booker.
With Airbus heading for a third draw in four league games, Danny Warren restored their lead in the fifth minute of stoppage time with his 18th league goal of the season.
Victory was secured four minutes later when Penrhyncoch goalkeeper Leigh Jenkins went up for a corner as the Roosters searched for an equaliser, but Airbus broke away and Sam Baker found the net. There was a red card for Jenkins to add to the hosts’ woes.

Ruthin Town climbed out of the relegation zone with a 3-1 win over bottom-of-the-table Llay Miners Welfare at Maes Tegid on Saturday.
Looking for only a second win of 2025, Ruthin were 2-0 up inside 20 minutes as Sam Jones netted two quickfire goals, both assisted by Llyr Morris.
Jonathan Collo’s fifth goal in as many games halved the deficit for Welfare early in the second half, but Morris made sure of victory for Ruthin by netting his eighth goal of the campaign just after the hour mark.
Dave Evans’ side are now one point above the bottom three but 14th-place Caersws do have a game in hand, while time is rapidly running out for Welfare who are 17 points adrift of safety with just six games left to play.

It is a similarly bleak situation for Prestatyn Town, who are 12 points adrift of safety with only four games to play after their 2-1 defeat away at Denbigh Town on Friday night.
The hosts led after 11 minutes when Sam Duffy played through Owen Davies to finish, but Prestatyn equalised against the run of play seven minutes before half-time as Alex Jones teed up Rob Parry to lash into the back of the net.
Denbigh continued to pile on the pressure in the second half and were eventually rewarded in the 75th minute when Davies picked up a loose ball and hammered it past Robbie Williams to complete his brace.
The Reds were not home and dry yet though as there was drama in the eighth minute of stoppage time when Sion Jones fouled Prestatyn substitute James Stead in the box. Stead stepped up to take the resulting penalty himself but was denied by Elijah Beattie who ensured Denbigh held on to all three points.
Gresford Athletic’s four-match winning streak came to an end on Saturday as they were beaten 4-1 away at Guilsfield.
Cameron Allen’s looping header put the Guils in front just before the half hour mark, but Dave Forbes scored a header of his own to equalise moments before the break.
Two goals in the space of five minutes midway through the second half put Guilsfield in control of the contest, with Iwan Matthew firing home to finish a quick counter attack before Callum Bromley lashed home inside the box.
The hosts secured a first win in five league games when James Smallwood broke past the Gresford defence and netted in the sixth minute of stoppage time.

Third-place Holywell Town made it three consecutive wins with a 1-0 home victory over fellow Flintshire side Mold Alexandra on Saturday.
The decisive moment came five minutes before half-time when Wellmen defender Danny Sullivan headed home from Danny Andrews’ corner.
An injury to goalkeeper Shaun Pearson meant that Holywell played the final half hour of the game with midfielder Gareth Evans between the sticks, but he kept the clean sheet intact to see out victory.
Llandudno climbed up to fourth in the table with a 1-0 home victory over fellow in-form side Flint Mountain on Friday night.
Mountain struck the woodwork twice in the first half, but it was Llandudno who earned a sixth win in seven matches as Callum Stephens glanced home a header from Kieran Baker’s cross with 63 minutes on the clock.
Buckley Town claimed a first win in four matches by triumphing 2-0 away at Bangor 1876 on Friday night.
Asa Hamilton’s side led on 24 minutes when Connor Littler tucked home the rebound after Josh Jones’ shot was saved, while an own goal from Bangor midfielder Dion Jones doubled the visitors’ lead early in the second half.
It is now four consecutive defeats for Bangor, who are only four points above the relegation zone having played two games more than 14th-place Caersws.
