Colwyn Bay earned a first ever win over Caernarfon Town as they triumphed 1-0 over the Cofis on Saturday.

The only goal of the game came after 22 minutes, when Ethan Roberts’ cross was turned onto the post by Caernarfon midfielder Matty Jones and Louis Robles was waiting to score on the rebound from close range.

Things got worse for the Cofis nine minutes before half-time when captain Danny Gosset was shown a straight red card for a late challenge on Aeron Edwards.

With the man advantage, Bay saw out the second half to secure a first win in four matches and climb back into the top half.

Defeat for Caernarfon means they remain third and are now six points behind leaders The New Saints, who triumphed 4-0 over Barry Town United at Park Hall on Sunday.

Jack Bodenham opened the scoring on 21 minutes when he headed home Ryan Brobbel’s cross at the back post for his second goal in as many games.

It was not until six minutes into the second half that the Saints doubled their lead when Ken Charles received a square ball from Ben Clark and produced a first time finish past George Ratcliffe, before Clark found the net himself in the 75th minute by tucking away the rebound from a yard out after Ratcliffe had denied Isaac Jefferies.

Jefferies did grab a goal seven minutes later though when he turned well in the box and fired home a powerful effort, sealing the Saints’ sixth straight league win.

Craig Harrison’s side are now three points clear at the top of the table after second-place Penybont were held to a goalless draw away at Briton Ferry Llansawel on Friday night.

Bont trio Clayton Green, Gabe Kircough and Ioan Phillips all had opportunities from close range, but they were all unable to test Ferry goalkeeper Will Fuller.

Ollie Anderson had a glorious chance to put the Reds ahead as he was left unmarked when racing onto Tom Walters’ low ball, but the Ferry substitute miscued his effort.

Connah’s Quay Nomads climbed up to fourth in the table with a 3-0 victory over Llanelli Town at the Essity Stadium on Saturday.

The Nomads found the breakthrough in first half stoppage time as 18-year-old Jacob Cook tapped home from a yard out after Ben Nash had poked Callum West’s corner back across goal.

Two stunning strikes sealed victory for John Disney’s side in the second half, as West curled the ball into the bottom corner from the edge of the box before Harry Franklin cut in from the left and fired in an unstoppable effort. The result also marked the Nomads’ first clean sheet at home this season.

Llanelli have slipped back to the bottom of the table after Haverfordwest County earned their first league win since August by triumphing 3-1 over Flint Town United at Ogi Bridge Meadow on Saturday.

A superb free-kick from Rhys Abbruzzese put the Bluebirds in front in the 33rd minute, while Dan Hawkins doubled the lead five minutes into the second half by receiving Corey Shephard’s backheeled lay off and unleashing a fierce first-time strike into the top corner.

Jake Phillips gave Flint a potential route back into the game with a cross-turned-shot which sailed over Ifan Knott just after the hour mark, but Haverfordwest substitute Iori Humphreys, who had only been on the pitch for six minutes, sealed a first home league win of the season for the hosts with his close range header in the 89th minute.

Cardiff Met secured back-to-back league wins for the first time since September 2024 as the Archers prevailed 2-0 against Bala Town at Cyncoed on Saturday.

Ryan Reynolds broke the deadlock in the 14th minute with a trademark ferocious finish after the ball broke to him on the edge of the box.

Met had Storm Amy to thank for their second goal nine minutes later, when strong winds saw a long ball from Bala goalkeeper Joel Torrance remarkably fly back towards their own goal before Lassana Mendes headed it over Torrance into his own net.

Bala went close to pulling a goal in the second half through back Louis Hall, whose in-swinging corner was denied by the crossbar, but Met held on to their lead to climb up to ninth in the table.
