The games keep coming thick and fast in the JD Cymru Premier, with a full schedule on Tuesday night. Here are the key matches to keep an eye on.
JD Cymru Premier – Newtown v Barry Town United (Tuesday, 7:45pm)
Just two points separate Newtown and Barry Town United in the JD Cymru Premier table ahead of their meeting at Latham Park.
The Robins moved up to sixth place following their 2-1 victory away at Caernarfon Town on Saturday, which ended a four-match winless streak for Scott Ruscoe’s side.
Meanwhile, Barry’s 3-1 win at home to Briton Ferry Llansawel consolidated their position in eighth place and they could climb into the top half with another victory on Tuesday. Ollie Hulbert netted for the third time in four games on Saturday and he now leads the division’s scoring charts.
Aaron Williams’ brace inspired Newtown to a 2-1 win at Jenner Park earlier this season – the Robins talisman has seven goals in his last five matches against Barry.
JD Cymru Premier – Bala Town v Connah’s Quay Nomads (Tuesday, 7:45pm)

Following third and second place finishes respectively last season, Bala Town and Connah’s Quay Nomads both find themselves outside of the top six halfway through Phase One.
The seventh-place Lakesiders are winless in their last three matches, conceding a 96th-minute equaliser to draw 2-2 away at Flint Town United on Saturday. Colin Caton’s side have only won one of their last five home games.
Following a run of four defeats in five matches, the Nomads have built confidence over the last fortnight with back-to-back clean sheets – a 3-0 win over Aberystwyth Town before a 0-0 draw against Haverfordwest County. Nonetheless, ninth place is far below expectations.
The two sides met five times in league and cup last season, with Bala prevailing as 1-0 winners in both encounters at Maes Tegid.
JD Cymru Premier – Cardiff Met v Penybont (Tuesday, 7:45pm)
League leaders Penybont will aim to make it four wins in a row when they make the short trip to fourth-place Cardiff Met.
Rhys Griffiths’ side moved seven points clear at the top of the table with a 3-0 win over Aberystwyth Town on Saturday – scoring after just 26 seconds – and they are yet to lose away from home this season.
Met were chasing Bont down only a few weeks ago, but the Archers have suffered defeat in their last three matches to slip down the table.
Penybont are unbeaten in their last five matches against Met and won 3-0 on their most recent visit to Cyncoed Campus on Boxing Day last year. The two sides will also meet again on Friday night in the JD Welsh Cup.
