JD Cymru Premier Predictor | Kieran Smith’s Matchday 5 predictions

Matchday 5 in the JD Cymru Premier is here and our guest predictor this weekend is former Bala Town captain Kieran Smith.

Smith spent 11 years with the Lakesiders across three different spells, making over 300 appearances for the club, before retiring this summer.

Smith’s former side Bala host Penybont on Saturday afternoon, with both sides still unbeaten so far this season. The former midfielder thinks it will stay that way, predicting a draw at Maes Tegid.

The only Friday night fixture sees Haverfordwest County host Newtown, with Smith backing the Bluebirds to come away victorious.

Barry Town United and Flint Town United are both without a win after four matches, but Smith has gone for Barry to get three points when they meet at Jenner Park on Saturday.

Briton Ferry Llansawel also continue to go in search of a first victory of the campaign, but Smith is a predicting a home defeat for the Reds against Connah’s Quay Nomads.

Caernarfon Town and Cardiff Met meet at The Oval in a repeat of last season’s European play-off semi-final, with Smith predicting a draw this time around.

The New Saints’ home game against Aberystwyth Town has been moved to Tuesday night due to their European commitments, but Smith still believes the reigning champions will come out on top.
