Aberystwyth Town climbed out of the JD Cymru Premier relegation zone as they snatched a late 2-1 win away at Colwyn Bay on Good Friday.
Seasiders skipper Jack Thorn put his side ahead in the first half when he fired home from inside the box, but the Seagulls looked to have earned a point when substitute Dan Atkins lashed in a strike off the bar in the 88thminute – his first goal for the club.
However, Aber found a winning goal in stoppage time when a Billy Kirkman corner led Zac Hartley turning the ball home in the midst of a goalmouth scramble.
Haverfordwest County also left it late to claim a 1-0 victory against Pontypridd United at USW Sports Park.
The decisive came in the 88th minute when Dragons goalkeeper Ash Morris brought down Bluebirds substitute Iori Humphreys inside the box and Rhys Abbruzzese stepped up to calmly convert the spot kick.
Pontypridd have slipped back into the relegation zone, while Haverfordwest are three points clear at the top of the Play-Off Conference after Penybont were held to a goalless draw by nine-man Barry Town United at Jenner Park.
Rhys Davies was the first to be sent off for the hosts when he received a second yellow card in the 57th minute and Bont were unable to take advantage of the extra man before Ollie Hulbert received two bookings in quick succession in stoppage time.
Connah’s Quay Nomads and Newtown also played out a goalless draw at the Essity Stadium in the day’s only game in the Championship Conference.
Both goalkeepers were in stellar form, with Robins goalkeeper Andy Wycherley denying efforts from Kai Edwards, Ryan Harrington and Noah Edwards.
Newtown nearly stole all three points in stoppage time, but Dom Smith’s effort from close range was wonderfully saved by Andy Firth.
