Colwyn Bay earned their first JD Cymru Premier win of the season as they triumphed 4-1 away at struggling Cardiff Met on Saturday.
The Seagulls were gifted an opening goal six minutes before half-time when Harri John’s headed pass back to Kelland Absalom was not gathered by the Met goalkeeper, allowing Louis Robles to tap home on the line.
Fumpa Mwandwe produced a stunning strike from outside the area to open his Met account and bring the hosts level inside the first minute of the second half, but Jordan Davies restored Bay’s lead just six minutes later with a powerful low drive into the bottom corner.
Robles completed his brace in the 73rd minute as he raced onto the loose ball from Sol Forde’s header and guided his shot past Absalom, while Lewis Sirrell sealed victory for the Seagulls in stoppage time when he rose highest from Sam Hart’s corner to head home.
Bay are now up to seventh in the table, while Met remain in the relegation zone without a win to their name.

Flint Town United earned their second-biggest away win in the JD Cymru Premier as they eased to a 5-0 victory away at bottom-of-the-table Llanelli Town on Saturday.
The Silkmen opened the scoring with just 38 seconds on the clock as Darren Stephenson met Jake Phillips’ teasing cross and provided a simple close range finish. Phillips was also involved for Flint’s second goal on 22 minutes when his long throw was not cleared by the hosts, allowing Reeves to head home.
Reeves extended Flint’s advantage in the 44th minute with a clinical curling finish into the bottom corner after playing a neat one-two with Sidi Fofana, before the striker completed his hat-trick in first half stoppage time by latching onto Harry Owen’s long ball, shrugging off Nelson Sanca and volleying past Mike Lewis.
With the game all but wrapped up, Flint’s attack eased off after the break but a fifth goal did arrive in the 79thminute. Sanca fouled Stephenson in the box and Josh Jones stepped up to score the resulting penalty, which Mike Lewis appeared to save before remarkably tumbling over the line with the ball in his hands.
The victory sees Flint climb into the top half, while Llanelli remain without a point from their first six matches of the campaign.

Caernarfon Town are three points clear at the top of the table following a 3-1 win over Barry Town United at the Go Goodwins Stadium on Sunday.
It was the visitors who took the lead after just nine minutes as Ollie Hulbert poked home Owen Cuddihy’s cross for his first league goal of the season, but the Cofis levelled in the 22nd minute when Osebi Abadaki’s cross was headed back across goal by Adam Davies for Danny Gosset to nod in – his first league goal since January 2024.
It may have been a lengthy drought for the midfielder but he netted his second goal of the afternoon in stunning style in first half stoppage time, unleashing a ferocious strike from distance that flew into the top corner.
Good work from Abadaki set up to Davies to extend Caernarfon’s advantage with a low strike on 69 minutes. Gossett had the chance to complete an unlikely hat-trick late on when Sion Bradley was fouled in the box by Keston Davies, but the midfielder hit the bar with the resulting penalty.

The New Saints returned to winning ways in emphatic style as they triumphed 5-0 over Haverfordwest County at Park Hall on Saturday.
The first half was a fairly even affair and the reigning champions only led by one goal at the break after Rory Holden latched onto Ryan Brobbel’s diagonal long ball and clinically found the bottom corner in the 19thminute.
However, TNS scored four goals in the space of 11 minutes to take the contest away from Haverfordwest midway through the second half.
Jordan Williams tapped home the rebound from Jack Bodenham’s saved header, before he inadvertently steered Dan Williams’ strike beyond Luc Rees. Brobbel got his name on the scoresheet as he was allowed time and space to pick out the bottom corner from inside the area, before Williams completed his hat-trick with an easy finish after receiving Ben Wilson’s square pass and rounding Rees.
The Saints are now up to second in the table and have kept four clean sheets in their last five matches.

Nothing could separate Bala Town and Penybont in a goalless stalemate at Maes Tegid on Saturday.
Both sides had their fair share of chances as Alex Cvetkovic saw his effort saved by Joel Torrance, while Mael Davies was unable to find the target with his header from just five yards out. Olamide Ibrahim had a glorious opportunity for Bala, but he was denied by Archie Matthews.
Ash Baker thought he had found a breakthrough for Bont when he poked home a loose ball from Kane Owen’s cross, but the defender was deemed to be offside when applying the finish. Torrance was called into action again for the Lakesiders as he tipped away a powerful volley from James Crole.
