
The 2024/25 JD Cymru Premier Team of the Season has been announced ahead of the FAW National League Awards on Saturday 7 June.
Representatives from across the league were invited to select a best XI, before all submissions were compiled into the Team of the Season.
Champions The New Saints have the joint-most players in the squad with three players put forward, alongside Penybont who finished second. Haverfordwest County have two, whilst there are also inclusions from Barry Town United, Caernarfon Town, and Connah’s Quay Nomads.
JD Cymru Premier 2024/25 Team of the Season
GK – Zac Jones (Haverfordwest County)
Haverfordwest conceded the least amount of goals than any other side this season and a lot of that was down to the heroics of New Zealand goalkeeper Zac Jones. The Kiwi shutout the opposition a total of 15 times in the 31 matches he played in.
RB – Kane Owen (Penybont)
The 30-year-old is one of the longest-serving players at the SDM Glass Stadium and he played a key role in the Bont qualifying for Europe for the second time in their history after finishing as runners-up. He notched up five assists and two goals in 30 league matches.

CB – Gabe Kircough (Penybont)
Naturally a midfielder, Gabe Kircough was forced to cover in defence for Penybont for the majority of this season due to injuries but made the most of the opportunity and cemented himself as a key member of the team.
CB – Lee Jenkins (Haverfordwest County)
The former Aberystwyth Town defender missed just one game all season due to a suspension, and was a part of the best defence in the league. He was part of a backline which recorded 15 clean sheets, and conceded just 29 goals. Jenkins also performed well up the other end, scoring and assisting twice.
LB – Danny Redmond (The New Saints)
The TNS skipper is capable of playing in various different positions and it is at left-back in which the opposition has been impressed the most. Redmond had six assists and one goal in 29 games for the champions.

RM – Louis Lloyd (Caernarfon Town)
The former Wrexham and Shrewsbury Town youngster won the Golden Boot with 16 goals in 32 games in the regular season, and then performed well in the play-offs, scoring four against Barry Town United and one against Haverfordwest County.
CM – Dan Williams (The New Saints)
The former Swansea City midfielder made his side tick in the centre of the park on their way to a fourth consecutive league title. Williams played in 29 of their 32 JD Cymru Premier matches, earning a goal and an assist.
CM – Rhys Hughes (Connah’s Quay Nomads)
The former Everton youngster had an impressive first season in the JD Cymru Premier after joining the Nomads following his release from Tranmere Rovers. Hughes had 15 goals and two assists after playing under Billy Paynter for the majority of the campaign.
LM – Jordan Williams (The New Saints)
The 32-year-old has been at Park Hall for the past four seasons now and he was influential in what is his fourth title. Williams scored 10 goals for the season and also supplied his teammates for a goal on five occasions.

ST – James Crole (Penybont)
Following his decision to leave Cardiff City, Crole landed at Penybont, and since then he’s not looked back since. He netted twice on his league debut, and ended up scoring 14 more, giving him a tally of 16, meaning the Golden Boot award was shared. The 21-year-old also registered seven assists and now has a European adventure to look forward to.
ST – Ollie Hulbert (Barry Town United)
The former Bristol Rovers youngster had a good record in front of goal, scoring 15 goals in 29 league matches. Hulbert also earned three assists, helping his side reach the European play-offs.
