Welsh Blood Service League Cup holders Airbus UK Broughton reached the semi-finals with a 3-1 win over Newtown at the Hollingsworth Group Stadium on Saturday.
Jamie Hyne fired Newtown ahead three minutes before half-time as he brought down Alfie Clark’s looping ball and clinically fired past Keighan Jones at the near post.
However, Airbus were level in first half stoppage time as Mason Blackwell-Jones slipped in Jordan Evans, who cut inside onto his favoured left foot and slotted into the bottom corner.
The Wingmakers completed the turnaround four minutes into the second half as Evans delivered a pinpoint first-time cross into Danny Warren, who volleyed home at the back post from close range.
Airbus substitute Jake Roberts, who had only been on the pitch for a minute, ensured the hosts progressed into the final four as he latched onto Kieran Evans’ long ball and sent a deft lob over Dave Jones.

Treowen Stars booked their place in the semi-finals with a 2-1 win over Llantwit Major at the CCB Centre For Sporting Excellence on Friday night.
Tom Meechan gave the Stars a dream start as he sent a thunderous free-kick from 25 yards out into the net via the underside of the crossbar after just two minutes played.
Meechan doubled his and the Stars’ tally just three minutes later with another clinical finish, this time receiving Gavin Meacham’s pass and curling into the far corner beyond Shaun Gardiner’s reach.
Kofi Rowe gave Major a lifeline early in the second half when he ran onto Gardiner’s long ball and lobbed Cael Jones, but Treowen were able to hold onto their lead and continue their impressive cup run.
