Full-time verdict: A convincing and largely comfortable 4-0 win for Slovakia despite Cymru naming a stronger and more experienced starting line-up to the team that were held by Gibraltar. Cymru had a decent period of possession and pressure before half-time but Slovakia went in a goal ahead and took control in the 2nd half to add a further three goals. Another frustrating night for Rob Page who could only watch on as his side struggled to defend against an impressive Slovakian outfit who will be confident of making an impression in Germany.

Goal
RÓBERT BOŽENÍK
-
Slovakia have started the 2nd half as the stronger side with the Cymru defence under increasing pressure as the home side look to double their advantage.
-
No changes for Cymru or Slovakia as the 2nd half begins. Teenage striker Lewis Koumas impressed on his senior debut against Gibraltar and will be an option for Page if his side remain behind.
-
Josh Sheehan carries the ball in midfield.
-
Fin Stevens makes his second Cymru appearance this evening.
-
Half-time verdict: Cymru did seem to be heading into half-time on a positive having asked a few questions of the Slovakian defence, but a speculative long-range effort from Juraj Kucka means that it’s the home side that go in on a high. Rob Page will need an early reaction from his side in the 2nd half.
-
Goal
JURAJ KUCKA
-
Slovakia take the lead just before half-time as Juraj Kucka beats Danny Ward from distance. The opening goal comes just as Cymru were enjoying their best period of the game.
-
Kieffer Moore comes close for Cymru but his header is saved by Martin Dúbravka as Cymru enjoy a spell of pressure in the Slovakian penalty area.
-
A positive attack from Cymru as Dan James does enough to earn his side a corner, but it comes to nothing.
-
Cymru line-up as the rain pours down at the Anton Malatinský Stadium in Trnava.
-
Slovakia increasing the pressure on the Cymru defence now as they force a number of corners. Cymru continue to clear their lines.
-
A big chance for Ondrej Duda but his effort deflects of Ethan Ampadu for a corner. From the resulting set-piece, Dávid Hancko is denied a goal as his header is ruled out for offside. A close call and a moment of concern for Rob Page and his staff.
-
It remains level at the midway point in the opening half. A couple of half chances for both teams and it looks like Cymru’s pace in attack will be key if they are to find a way through.
-
Slovakia enjoying the majority of the possession without causing too many problems for the Cymru defence. Rob Page will be keen to get his creative players on the ball and ask questions of the Slovakian defence.
-
Kieffer Moore is the leading goalscorer in this Cymru squad having found the net 12 times.
-
Y Wal Goch are in good voice in Trnava.
-

-
Danny Ward called into action inside the opening minutes as Róbert Boženík tries his luck from the edge of the area.

Cymru will wear red tonight for the international challenge match against Slovakia in Trnava.
Daniel Stefanski will take charge of the match. The 46-year old from Poland has been a FIFA referee since 2013. He will be assisted by Dawid Golis and Jakub Winkler while Peter Kralović is the Fourth official.
-
The Štadión Antona Malatinského will be hosting tonight’s match in Trnava.
Cymru have played here twice previously, with a 1-1 draw in 2019 and a 5-2 win in 2007. The stadium is the home of Spartak Trnava, who finished third in the top tier of the domestic league pyramid in Slovakia (Slovak First Football League). Their third place finish secured a place in the UEFA Conference League second qualifying round for next season.

The Cymru squad went on a team walk ahead of tonight’s match against Slovakia.
The match will be the Slovakian’s final test ahead of their travels to Germany for this summer’s EURO finals. Francesco Calzona’s side will be facing Belgium, Romania and Ukraine in their group stage matches.
-
Ethan Ampadu will captain Cymru for the first time on Sunday evening as Rob Page’s side take on Slovakia in Trnava.
“It’s really a proud moment for me and my family, and it’s something that you dream of as a kid,” said Ampadu. “They were happy for me. It’s a massive achievement and one that I won’t take for granted.
“The second half of the season I wore the armband for Leeds so that’s probably helped ease my nerves a little bit going into tomorrow. I’m going to try to do what I do every game anyway. I’m not going to try to be any different just because I’ve got the armband on.”
-
There have been five previous meetings between Cymru and Slovakia dating back to October 2006 when Gareth Bale scored the first of his 41 international goals.
Slovakia won that first match 5-1 in Cardiff, but it remains their only success over Cymru as Craig Bellamy scored twice in the return match as John Toshack’s side claimed a 5-2 win in Trnava a year later.
The most memorable meeting between Cymru and Slovakia took place in Bordeaux in the opening match of EURO 2016 as goals from Bale and Hal Robson-Kanu earned Chris Coleman’s side a famous 2-1 victory.
The two sides would meet again in EURO 2020 qualification. Dan James scored the only goal in a 1-0 win for Cymru in March 2019 while Kieffer Moore was on target in the return match in October that year as the points were shared in a 1-1 draw.

The performance of Jay Dasilva on his senior Cymru debut was one positive to take from the 0-0 draw with Gibraltar on Thursday, and the 26-year old will be keen to register more international minutes against Slovakia on Sunday.
“It’s such an honour to finally make my debut and wear the shirt for the first time,” said Dasilva to BBC Sport Wales. “I’ll remember it forever. This is my third camp, so I’ve had to be patient to get some minutes.
I got the opportunity and hopefully it’s the first of many. I’ll keep working hard, try to impress and just win more caps. The result wasn’t what we expected and we’re disappointed, but personally I’m buzzing.
“I’m just grateful to be in this position. It’s such an honour to be able to play for your country. I spoke to my mum and brothers straight after the game. They were watching, they didn’t quite make it out, but they are so proud. It was a great moment to share with them.”

Rob Page and his Cymru squad head to Trnava this weekend as they prepare to take on Slovakia in an international challenge match at the Štadión Antona Malatinského on Sunday evening.
Following the 0-0 draw against Gibraltar in Portugal, Page is expected to name a more experienced starting line-up for the match after handing a number of players their senior debuts on Thursday.
“It’s a draw against a Gibraltar team that we’re really disappointed with and our focus is on getting the team and squad ready for September to win Nations League games,” said Page to BBC Sport Wales after the match.
“I’m a Welsh supporter as well as the manager, I’m disappointed. But I have to keep saying about the bigger picture and I’ll probably get criticised for that. It’s the bigger picture and we’re not going to lose focus on what we’ve done.”
