The final round of the 2026/27 Genero Adran Trophy group stage took place on Sunday as clubs battled to secure their place in the knockout stage.
Group 1
Flint Town United achieved maximum points in the Genero Adran Trophy knockout stage to seal progression to the last 16 as they earned a 3-2 victory over Bangor City 1876 at the Bangor City Stadium.
Both sides made a fast start as Poppy Smith opened the scoring for Flint inside just two minutes, only for Menna Evans to bring Bangor level five minutes later. The Silkwomen edged back in front on the stroke of half time though, as Kelsey Davies scored on her debut for the club.
Ruby Hastings bagged her eighth goal contribution of the group stage to help extend Flint’s lead on the hour mark as she set up Davies, who completed her brace. Ellie Jones halved the deficit for Bangor to set up an interesting finish, but Flint held on to claim all three points and guarantee top spot in the group.
Llanfair United also progressed from Group 1 as Grace Thomas’ dramatic stoppage time strike sealed a 3-2 win over Felinheli at Cae Seilo.

Felinheli needed to secure a high-scoring victory to have any chance of reaching the last 16, and they were rewarded for their bright start as Rubie Davies found the breakthrough on 18 minutes. However, Llanfair immediately cancelled out Davies’ strike as Sioned Roberts scored her first goal of the season.
Both teams’ star strikers Harriet Davies and Fflur Williams found the net for Llanfair and Felinheli respectively as the match remained all square at two apiece heading into stoppage time, but 18-year-old Thomas clinched a thrilling win for Llanfair, who book a place in the Genero Adran Trophy knockout stage for the third season running.
Group 2
Competition debutants Wrexham Foresters secured their place in the last 16 with a hard-fought 3-0 win over Berriew at Stansty Park.
Anna Thomas built on her hat-trick in the Foresters’ rampant 11-0 win over Llandudno in the second group fixture to open the scoring here after just 13 minutes played.

The Foresters were reduced to 10 players following Savannah Miller’s straight red card, meaning their spot in the top two was fully at risk. However, the hosts survived Miller’s dismissal and in fact extended their lead in the second thanks to goals from Thomas and Kirstie Kural.
Kural’s side, who also beat Berriew 3-0 in the Genero Adran North last weekend, can now look forward to their first ever Genero Adran Trophy last 16 tie.
The other fixture in Group 2 between Connah’s Quay Nomads and Llandudno was postponed. The Nomads had already confirmed their place in the knockout stage following their two earlier wins in the group, meaning the result would not affect progression, with Llandudno also already eliminated. An outcome to whether this match will need to be replayed will be announced in due course.
Group 3
Ellis Lunn scored a hat-trick as Cascade stormed to a 5-1 win over Penybont at the Dragonbet Stadium to progress into the knockout stage.

Both sides went into half time level as Lunn’s opener was quickly cancelled out by Penybont forward Megan Clarke’s fourth goal in two games. However, Cascade needed just four minutes after the restart to take the lead again as Lunn poked past Molly Bird from close range.
Lunn completed her hat-trick just a minute later to put the visitors in control before Annaliese Lewis headed home from Ffion Simmonds’ corner. 17-year-old Trinity Reakes wrapped up a five-star performance from Kellan Webb’s side on 72 minutes as she received Daisy Evan-Watkins’ through ball and slotted beneath Bird.
Cwmbran Celtic, who were already guaranteed progression to the knockout stage prior to kick-off, topped Group 3 following a 1-1 draw with Pure Swansea at the SU Sports Centre.
Celtic took a narrow lead into half time thanks to Gracie Grosvenor’s calmly converted penalty – her first ever goal in the competition.

Kayleigh Hateley pulled Pure Swansea level just 11 minutes after coming on as a substitute in the second half, but the Swans were unable to come back and earn the victory they needed to have any chance of progression.
Group 4
Carmarthen Town reached the Genero Adran Trophy knockout stage for the first time in their history as they topped Group 4 following their 1-0 win over Pontypridd United at the LHP Stadium.
The decisive moment arrived with just six minutes on the clock as Ophelia Jenkins set up her fellow forward Jasmine Guymer, who has scored in all three group matches for the Old Gold.

Defeat for Pontypridd left the Dragons needing the later kick-off between Cambrian United and Llanrumney United to end in less than a four-goal swing, and although Cambrian claimed a 1-0 victory at the M&P Group 3G, it wasn’t enough for them to reach the last 16.
Niamh Duggan, who scored and assisted on her debut for Cambrian in the Genero Adran South last weekend, grabbed the game’s only goal as she dispatched her penalty past Chrissy Kidley.
Cambrian held on to keep their clean sheet intact and earn the victory, but it wasn’t enough to leapfrog Pontypridd, as they exit the group stage on goal difference.
