Genero Adran South | Weekend preview

With Pontardawe Town and Briton Ferry Llansawel both in Bute Energy Welsh Cup action this weekend, there are only two Genero Adran South matches on Sunday.

Cascade will go top of the table if they avoid defeat against Llanelli Town at the CCB Centre for Sporting Excellence.

The hosts are currently in second place, level on points with leaders Briton Ferry after playing one game more. A 6-0 win over Penybont in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup last weekend will no doubt have boosted their confidence further.

Llanelli sit fifth in the table with five points from their first four matches following promotion. The Reds have not lost in the league since an opening day defeat to Swansea University.

Just one point separates Swansea University and Cwmbran Celtic in the Genero Adran South table ahead of their meeting on Sunday afternoon.

The Students are currently third in the table with eight points, having lost in the league for the first time this season against Briton Ferry a fortnight ago. They were also beaten by Cardiff City in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup last weekend.

Meanwhile, Celtic are fourth in the table with seven points and have held their own in the second tier after a third place finish in the SWWGL in 2022/23.

The two clubs last met at the end of October, when Hannah Pinney scored twice in a 2-0 win for Swansea Uni in the Genero Adran Trophy group stage.
