Genero Adran North round-up: Flint Town United move second as Felinheli win big

Flint Town United moved up to second in the Genero Adran North with a 2-0 win over Berriew at the Essity Stadium. 

Beth Roberts put Flint ahead in the 22nd minute as she chased down Berriew goalkeeper Sarah Parkes’ goal-kick, seeing the ball trickle into the net for her fourth goal contribution in three games. 

Roberts then turned provider for in-form striker Shannon Hobbs, who scored for the fourth game in a row by sending a looping effort over Parkes to double the lead. The Silkwomen have now won three consecutive Genero Adran North matches for the first time ever, while Berriew remain bottom of the table on three points.

Felinheli earned their biggest victory of the season with a comfortable 6-0 triumph over Bangor at Treborth Playing Fields. 

Llywela Edwards bagged a brace in the opening 22 minutes of the contest to put the hosts firmly in control. Jenna Allsup and Katie Midwinter then both found the net early in the second half to ultimately put the game to bed. 

Catrin Evans scored for the second game in a row to make it five before Midwinter doubled up for the afternoon to round off an emphatic display from Aaron Jones-Evans’ side, who have now lost just one of their last six league matches.
