Genero Adran North round-up | Connah’s Quay Nomads go top with victory

Connah’s Quay Nomads made it two wins from two in the Genero Adran North by beating Bangor 4-1 at Nantporth to go top of the table.

Elana Harley’s composed finish and an own goal from Bangor goalkeeper Rebecca Elliott put the Nomads in control in the first half, before Phoebe Ellis and Polly Wild-McGregor added their names to the scoresheet after the break. Menna Evans netted a late consolation for the hosts.

Airbus UK Broughton and Llanfair United both earned their first point of the season in a 1-1 draw at the Hollingsworth Group Stadium.

Wingmakers captain Bethan Davies gave her side the lead from the penalty spot midway through the first half, before Jodie Carswell equalised for Llanfair just four minutes into the second half.

Newly-promoted NFA earned their first point in the Genero Adran North in a 1-1 draw against neighbours Rhyl 1879 at Belle Vue.

Amy Webster’s penalty in first half stoppage time put Niall McGuinness’ side in front, but Sade Benjamin scored against her former club in the second half to level the contest.

The clash between Felinheli and Llandudno was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Cae Seilo. A date for the rearranged fixture will be confirmed in due course.

Genero Adran North results:

Airbus UK Broughton 1-1 Llanfair United
Bangor 1-4 Connah’s Quay Nomads
Rhyl 1879 1-1 NFA
