Airbus UK Broughton were relegated from the Genero Adran North after they suffered a 9-0 defeat to Flintshire rivals Connah’s Quay Nomads, who all but confirmed second place.
The Nomads made a rapid start to the encounter as goals from Alisha Whitehead-Hughes, Alisha Wright and Sophie Rawling saw them storm into a three-goal lead inside the first seven minutes.
Meg Andrews added a fourth with her first league goal of the season before Wright completed her first senior hat-trick to give Jordan Parry’s side a 6-0 lead at the break.
The goals didn’t stop there as teenager Emily Hughes-Jones scored her first league goal for Nomads two minutes into the second half. Elana Harley, who captained Nomads to their first ever Genero Adrian North U19s title on Friday night, netted an eighth before Kirstie Kural wrapped up a dominant derby performance.
Felinheli returned to winning ways as Fflur Williams’ hat-trick inspired them to a 5-0 victory over Llanfair United at Cae Seilo.
Williams set her side on course for victory with a brace inside the opening 12 minutes, before Jenna Tugwell-Allsup and Catrin Evans also found the scoresheet.
Williams completed her hat-trick with a calmly converted penalty as Aaron Jones-Evans’ side marked their penultimate league fixture with an emphatic victory.
Rivals Rhyl 1879 and Bangor were forced to settle for a point each as they played out a goalless draw at Belle Vue.
It was a narrow meeting when the two sides on the opening day of the campaign, with Lilywhites striker Sade Benjamin grabbing the only goal that day, but there was to be no breakthrough this time around.
