Genero Adran Trophy round-up | Cardiff City and Swansea City set up south Wales derby final

Cardiff City and Swansea City will meet in this season’s Genero Adran Trophy final after storming to victory in the semi-finals on Sunday afternoon.

Ffion Price hit a superb hat-trick as the Bluebirds defeated Aberystwyth Town 4-0 at the Cardiff International Sports Stadium.

Prior to netting her treble, Price set up the opener in the 10th minute as her corner was powerfully headed home by Megan Bowen for the defender’s fourth goal of the season.

Price made it 2-0 ten minutes before the break by producing a sweetly struck first-time finish from Hannah Power’s inviting ball, before netting again in the 75th minute as a clearance fell kindly to the full-back to fire into the net.

She completed her hat-trick three minutes from time with another impressive strike as the Bluebirds sailed through to a fourth consecutive final in this competition.

There was also a hat-trick scored at Park Hall as Stacey John-Davis’ treble helped Swansea City to a 5-1 win over The New Saints.

The Swans made a rapid start to proceedings, as Emily Thomas’ header and Sammy Wynne’s stunning long-range strike put them two goals ahead after 14 minutes. It was 3-0 by half-time when John-Davis’ curling strike from the edge of the box beat young goalkeeper Ellie Suckley via the post.

The forward completed her hat-trick with two quickfire goals shortly after the hour mark. She found the top corner with a fierce strike before firing in a stunning free kick from the edge of the box.

TNS netted a consolation goal in the 89th minute as Chloe Shirley tapped home from close range following Chelsea Herbert’s double save.

The 2024 Genero Adran Trophy final will take place on Sunday 14 April, with the venue and kick-off time to be announced in due course.
