The New Saints staged a stunning late comeback to win 3-2 over Briton Ferry Llansawel at Park Hall and reach the Genero Adran Trophy final for the first time in their history.
Ferry looked to be in control of the tie as they led 2-0 after half an hour played. Lucy Powell scored from the penalty spot after Alison Witts had been fouled in the box by Saints goalkeeper Rebecca Elliott, before Maia Owen tucked away Powell’s corner at the back post.
That was the way the scoreline stayed until the final 10 minutes of the contest, when TNS turned the tie on its head in dramatic fashion.
Emily Ridge halved the deficit in the 82nd minute as she received Maria Francis-Jones’ through ball and fired past Courtney Young, before Francis-Jones produced a stunning effort into the top corner from distance to equalise five minutes later.
With a penalty shootout on the agenda, the Saints won the game in the second minute of stoppage time when Ridge crossed for Chantelle Teare in the box and she finished past Young to spark wild celebrations for the home side.
The final will see Shauna Duffy’s side pitted against Swansea City, who triumphed 3-2 away at Wrexham on Sunday.

The Swans made a fast start at The Rock as a swift breakaway saw Stacey John-Davis cross for teenager Aimee Deacon to tap into the net with just two minutes on the clock.
The same two players were involved again as the visitors doubled their lead in first half stoppage time, with Deacon fouled in the box by Phoebe Davies to allow John-Davis to step up to score from the penalty spot – adding to her hat-trick against Cascade in the last round.
Carra Jones earned Wrexham a route back into the game just after the hour mark when her cross sailed over Charlotte Haynes into the net, but Swansea restored their two-goal cushion in the 82nd minute when Emily Richards tapped home from Emily Thomas’ low cross.
Liv Fuller set up a nervy ending as she bundled the ball home in the fifth minute of stoppage time, but there was no time for Wrexham to equalise as the Swans made it back-to-back finals.
Latham Park in Newtown will host the 2025 Genero Adran Trophy Final on Sunday 9 February (17:30).

The New Saints 3-2 Briton Ferry Llansawel
