Genero Adran Trophy | Weekend preview

The last semi-final spot in the Genero Adran Trophy will be decided on Sunday afternoon as Felinheli host Aberystwyth Town in their rearranged quarter-final at Cae Seilo (KO 14:00).

Felinheli are the only second tier left in the competition and come into this tie in impressive form, having won their last five matches in succession to climb to second in the Genero Adran North.

Aaron Jones-Evans’ side finished second in their Genero Adran Trophy group, before reaching this stage after Barry Town United failed to fulfil their last 16 tie.

Aberystwyth, who defeated Connah’s Quay Nomads in the previous round, are aiming to reach the semi-finals for the third successive season – they have lost to Cardiff City and Cardiff Met in the last four in the last two years.

The Seasiders clinched their place in the Genero Adran Premier top four with a thrilling 3-3 draw against The New Saints last weekend, which extended their unbeaten streak to three games.

The winner of this tie will travel to last season’s runners-up Cardiff City in the semi-finals next weekend.
