Genero Adran North | Weekend preview

With the Genero Adran North top two Llandudno and Felinheli not in league action this weekend, third-place Connah’s Quay Nomads will have the chance to close the gap at the top of the table when host Airbus UK Broughton on Sunday.

Following consecutive defeats to their title rivals, Jordan Parry’s side are nine points adrift of the table-topping Seasiders and three behind Felinheli – who they would overtake on goal difference with victory this weekend.

Airbus have also suffered back-to-back defeats, and won just one league game all season, which leaves them rooted to the bottom of the Genero Adran North table on just five points.

The Nomads have come out on top in the last eight competitive meetings between the two sides, with the most recent of those coming in this season’s league reverse fixture – a 5-0 victory thanks to braces from Shannon Hobbs and Polly Wild-McGregor, with Phoebe Ellis also on the scoresheet.

Fifth-place NFA will be targeting back-to-back league wins for the first time in the Genero Adran North when they host Bangor.

Niall McGuinness’ side triumphed 4-1 over Airbus last weekend and another victory would see them climb into the top half.

Bangor were dealt their third consecutive league defeat by losing 8-3 to Llandudno last weekend, but they are just three points behind NFA in sixth place.

Ashleigh Mills’ brace as well as goals from Jessica Mills and Jade Scott secured NFA’s biggest ever victory in the second tier as they overcame Bangor 4-0 at Nantporth earlier in the season.
