JD Cymru North leaders Airbus UK Broughton maintained their perfect record this season in dramatic style as Jake Eyre’s stoppage time winner secured a 2-1 victory away at Llandudno on Friday night.
Llandudno led for the majority of the match after Harvey Bennett continued his impressive recent form with a 26th-minute opener, but Airbus got back on level terms in the 85th minute as Ryan Edwards produced a sweet strike from the edge of the area.
The Wingmakers piled on the pressure in the closing stages and got their reward in the ninth minute of stoppage time when substitute Eyre, who recently returned from a year-long injury, latched onto a loose ball and sent a composed finish beyond Mike Jones.
Second-place Holywell Town claimed their seventh consecutive win in all competitions as Danny Andrews’ late strike earned a narrow 1-0 victory away to Penrhyncoch on Saturday.

Buckley Town staged a stunning second half comeback to triumph 3-2 over Prestatyn Town at The Globe on Friday night.
Prestatyn appeared to be in control of the contest after strikes from Oli Buckley and Jacob Barratt three minutes either side half-time put them two goals ahead.
However, Buckley got back in the game in the 73rd minute when Danny Burgess tapped home in the midst of a goalmouth scramble before substitute Liam Driscoll levelled the game four minutes later with his first goal of the season.
The Bucks completed the turnaround five minutes from time when Brad Knight headed home from Asa Hamilton’s cross, which saw the Bucks end a run of three consecutive losses on home soil in all competitions.
Llay Miners Welfare collected their first win in the JD Cymru North since promotion as substitute Scott Swords scored a second half winner to defeat Caersws 1-0.
Swords found the net in the 67th minute, just three minutes after coming off the bench. Matthew Worrall had the chance to double the lead from the penalty spot in the closing stages, but missed from 12 yards. Nonetheless, Welfare were able to hold on to clinch all three points.
Third-place Colwyn Bay continued to impress with a 4-2 victory away to Denbigh Town on Friday night.
It was a frantic opening 20 minutes at Central Park as Tom Creamer and Craig Lindfield scored for the Bay either side of Keelan Williams’ second goal in as many games for Denbigh.
Lindfield grabbed his second of the game just before half-time following confusion in the Denbigh box from a corner, while Dan Atkins came off the bench to score for the second consecutive match in the 75th minute.
Former Seagull Sam Duffy netted Denbigh’s second goal of the night in stoppage time, but it was only a consolation as Bay claimed their fifth straight win in all competitions.
Corrig McGonigle and Sam Jones both bagged braces as Bangor 1876 came from behind to pick up a 4-1 home win over Flint Mountain on Friday night.
Teenager Alfie Clark gave Mountain the lead in first half stoppage time as he fired home the rebound from Joe Holt’s saved effort, but the visitors’ advantage lasted barely a minute as McGonigle found a crucial equaliser.
