Danny Warren bagged a superb hat-trick as Airbus UK Broughton claimed a dominant 5-0 victory over Llandudno at the Hollingsworth Group Stadium on Tuesday.
George Peers, who scored a brace in a Nathaniel MG Cup win over Gresford Athletic last weekend, continued his fine start to the season as he rounded Llandudno goalkeeper Cameron Darling before calmly slotting into an empty net after just nine minutes.
A surge late in the first half then saw the Wingmakers take full control of the match as a mistake from Darling allowed Jordan Evans to add a second before Warren made it three just before the break with his fierce strike.
Warren got his second of the evening by converting from the penalty spot just before the hour mark and the striker completed his hat-trick shortly after, heading home from Joe Palmer’s cross to round off a five-star performance.
Michael Wilde picked up his first win as Colwyn Bay manager as his side defeated Holywell Town 2-0 at the Four Crosses Construction Arena.
New signing Gwion Dafydd, on loan from The New Saints, opened his account for the Seagulls with a poacher’s finish inside the area on the half hour mark.
Holywell did all they could to find an equaliser, but they were caught out on a counter-attack in the fifth minute of second half stoppage time as Josh Carey fired across goal to also net his first goal for the club. Bay goalkeeper Rhys Williams was sent off for a second bookable offence in the dying stages of the match.
Ruthin Town produced a stunning second half comeback to run out 5-3 victors against Llay Miners Welfare at The Ring.
Owen Payne set up both Samuel John and Matthew Worrall as Llay opened up a two-goal lead with half an hour played. Jake Hampson’s penalty quickly halved the deficit, but Cavan Daley grabbed a third for the hosts seven minutes into the second half.
Ruthin youngster Ethan Davies made it 3-2 on 62 minutes before another Hampson penalty levelled the scoreline to set up a grandstand final 20 minutes. The equaliser sparked Ruthin into life and a goal from teenage substitute Harry Martin completed the turnaround before Jack Edwards ensured victory in stoppage time.
Bangor 1876 built on their impressive start to the season with a comfortable 3-0 win over Mold Alexandra at Bangor City Stadium.
The breakthrough arrived just before the hour mark as Liam Morris deftly tucked away Dale Davies’ cross. Morris’ goal opened the floodgates for Mike Johnston’s side as Tom Mahoney’s close-range finish, followed by substitute Harry Galeotti’s first goal for the club, sealed all three points in a fantastic second half display.
Max Moore starred once again for Buckley Town as his goal and assist helped secure a 3-0 win over Gresford Athletic at The Globe.
Brad Knight’s deflected effort fell kindly to the feet of Scott McHarrie, who opened the scoring in the 12th minute. McHarrie’s goal remained the difference for the majority of the match, but eventually the Bucks got their second as Moore latched onto Adam Boydell’s through ball and fired home into the top corner.
Moore then turned provider as he set up Rhys Edwards four minutes later to wrap up an impressive victory for the Bucks.
