Newtown scored a stoppage-time equaliser to draw 2-2 away at Airbus UK Broughton in an early battle between two of the JD Cymru North promotion contenders.
The hosts dominated the early stages of the contest and led 2-0 inside 17 minutes as George Peers tucked away the rebound from Jordan Evans’ saved effort, before converting from the penalty spot after Kaiden Cooke was fouled inside the area.
Newtown pulled a goal back nine minutes into the second half as Robbie Evans’ strike from distance took a wicked deflection off Keiran Evans, but it did not look to be enough for the Robins until the sixth minute of stoppage time when Steffan Jones headed home from Louis Jacobs’ pinpoint delivery to salvage a point in dramatic style.
Holywell Town are now the only team in the JD Cymru North with a perfect record still intact after their 1-0 win away at Holyhead Hotspur.
The decisive moment at The New Oval arrived with just 11 minutes on the clock as Craig Lindfield opened his account for the Wellmen by guiding the ball home from Jamie Breese’ cross.
Holyhead came agonisingly close to an equaliser after having efforts denied by the woodwork and cleared off the line, but Holywell were able to see out the contest to earn their fourth straight league victory.

Late drama unfolded at Bastion Gardens as Haci Ozlu’s stoppage time equaliser earned Gresford Athletic a point in a thrilling 4-4 draw with Flint Mountain.
Jake Roberts put Gresford ahead on 18 minutes with a neat finish, but that lead did not last long as Mountain equalised almost instantly through Owen Cassidy. Cassidy struck again in the 39th minute to put his side ahead, but Roberts levelled for the Colliers on the stroke of half-time.
The scoring continued into the closing stages of the second half as Rian O’Riordan and Louie Smith gave Mountain a two-goal lead with just 10 minutes remaining.
Andrew Ruscoe’s side were heading for their first win of the campaign but Ozlu had other ideas. He squeezed home his first of the evening on 85 minutes, before remarkably scoring directly from a corner in the fifth minute of stoppage time to rescue a point for Gresford.

Llandudno climbed into the top three as late goals from Mark Cadwallader and Harvey Bennett secured a 2-0 win over Rhyl 1879 at the Go Goodwins Stadium.
Rhyl kept Llandudno at bay for 80 minutes of the contest, but eventually the Seasiders found a way past Alex Swindell as substitute Cadwallader headed home Callum Stephens’ cross.
Bennett sealed victory in stoppage time as he provided a simple finish from close range after excellent work from Ben Maher.
Denbigh Town continued their bright start to the campaign as Matthew Worrall’s first half double inspired a 3-1 victory at home to Mold Alexandra.
Mold took an 11th-minute lead courtesy of Isaac Carey’s powerful strike from distance, but Denbigh levelled on 22 minutes as Worrall played a neat one-two with Aidan Higgins before finding the bottom corner. Worrall completed the turnaround 10 minutes before the break as he rose highest from Nathan Brown’s corner and headed beyond Joe Smith.
Worrall was forced off with injury ahead of the second half, but the Reds nonetheless sealed victory with 16 minutes remaining as Bobby Beaumont met Brad Barnes’ corner and headed home.

Guilsfield returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 2-1 victory away to Buckley Town.
The Guils took the lead on the stroke of half-time as a long throw into the box was met by Sam Flory, who flicked home for his third goal of the season.
Flory thought he had found his second of the evening early in the second half, but his goal was disallowed for a foul in the area. However, James Smallwood eventually doubled the visitors’ lead on 71 minutes by beating his marker and firing into the bottom corner. Hugh Holland’s tap in gave the Bucks a late lifeline, but the Guils held on to claim all three points.
