Junior & Youth
The future of football in North East Wales
Youth football across North East Wales provides opportunities for children to play, develop and progress within a positive grassroots environment.
Working alongside the North East Wales Football Association, the region’s youth football structure includes the North East Wales Junior & Youth Football League for players aged 14 to 19, the North East Wales Girls Football League, and the Wrexham & District and Flintshire & District junior league systems.
Together, these leagues support football from junior age groups through to youth football, creating clear pathways for young players to enjoy the game, build confidence, develop their skills and continue their journey towards senior football.
Delivered by clubs, coaches, volunteers and match officials across the region, youth football in North East Wales plays a vital role in growing the game, promoting inclusion and ensuring young people have access to safe, competitive and enjoyable football.
