Bangor impressed on the opening day of the Genero Adran North season with an emphatic 5-1 victory over newly-promoted Berriew at the Bangor City Stadium.Â
It was only 1-0 to the hosts at half-time thanks to Ashleigh Jones’ strike, before new signing Tesni Hughes netted her first goal for the club to double the lead just before the hour mark.
Dottie Evans halved the deficit with Berriew’s first ever Genero Adran North goal on 67 minutes, but Seren McDonald immediately restored Bangor’s two goal cushion. Two more goals in stoppage time, a penalty from Ffion Thomas and a close range finish from Ella Jones, sealed victory for Richard Parry’s side.
Last season’s runners-up Llanfair United began their new campaign by triumphing 3-2 over Felinheli at Cae Seilo.
Nothing could separate the sides after a goalless first half, but Sophie Cook struck twice in the space of five minutes to put Llanfair in control by the half hour mark. Shannon Jade Jones pulled a goal back for Felinheli in the 72nd minute, but Harriet Davies restored Llanfair’s two-goal lead moments later.
Felinheli captain Jenna Tugwell-Allsup struck with five minutes remaining, but the hosts could not find a late equaliser as manager Aaron Jones-Evans was sent off for a second bookable offence following the full-time whistle.

Flint Town United and Llandudno kicked off the new campaign by sharing the points in a 1-1 draw at the Essity Stadium.
Rosie Hughes put Flint ahead with a neat volley at the back post just before the hour mark, but Llandudno summer signing Hannah Owen met Seren Cashen’s cross to equalise from close range on 71 minutes.
