Genero Adran South round-up | Crofts hits a hat-trick for in-form Cwmbran Celtic

Briton Ferry Llansawel continued their 100% record in this season’s Genero Adran South with a ruthless 5-1 victory over Swansea University at Old Road.

Alison Witts grabbed two goals, one either side of Laura-May Walkley’s 50th-minute strike, before Fleur Jenkins and Alice Broadley also found the net to open up a hefty advantage.

However, the Reds finally conceded a goal for the first time in the league this season as Katie Horsburgh netted a consolation goal for Swansea Uni in the 90th minute.

Second-place Cascade left it late to maintain the pressure on the league leaders as Anny Lewis netted an 80th-minute winner in a 2-1 victory away to Pontardawe Town.

Phoebe Ware’s fourth goal of the season gave Cascade an early advantage, but they were pegged back at the start of the second half as Renee Day drew Pontardawe level.

However, the struggling hosts could not hold on for a point as Lewis’ deflected strike 10 minutes from time found its way beyond the unfortunate Celyn Barnett.

Cwmbran Celtic extended their Genero Adran South unbeaten run to four games with an impressive 5-1 win over Llanelli Town at Celtic Park in which Jade Crofts bagged a hat-trick.

Crofts found the net early in each half to give her side a two-goal lead, before Georgia Shwartz added a third in the 51st minute and then set up Crofts to complete her treble.

Llanelli threatened an unlikely comeback when Lynsey Morris pulled a goal back on 63 minutes, but Celtic’s fifth arrived four minutes from time when Crofts turned provider to set up Fiona Anthony.
