Pontypridd United clinched the Genero Adran South title with a 4-0 home win over Llanelli Town on the final day of the campaign.
The Dragons were locked on 24 points alongside Swansea University and Cascade ahead of Sunday’s games, with their rivals facing each other.
Ultimately, a 1-1 draw in Swansea meant that even a point for Ponty would have earned them the trophy but they were taking no chances and secured an emphatic win.
It has been an impressive campaign for Claire O’Sullivan’s side following relegation from the Genero Adran Premier last season, with a young, new-look team wining nine of their 12 league matches and scoring 36 goals in the process.
Nicole Fenton, 20, finishes as the division’s top scorer with 11 goals – including two in Sunday’s title-clinching win – while 18-year-old Lauren Payne has also starred with six goals.
Pontypridd will now meet Genero Adran North champions Connah’s Quay Nomads in the promotion play-off on Sunday 20 April (full details TBC).
