2024/25 JD Cymru Premier awards
Player of the Season

Rhys Hughes – Connah’s Quay Nomads
The former Cymru U21 international joined the Nomads from Tranmere Rovers in the summer and featured in every league fixture, scoring 15 goals in the process. It has been an impressive debut season for the 23-year old in the domestic top-flight, with his side also reaching the JD Welsh Cup Final.
Louis Lloyd – Caernarfon Town
The 21-year old has been the shining light for Caernarfon Town as they look to qualify for Europe for the second consecutive season. Lloyd scored five goals in the final four games of the regular season to share the golden boot with a tally of 16, before netting another four goals in the 5-2 Play-Off quarter-final victory over Barry Town United.
Dan Williams – The New Saints
Another former Cymru U21 international, Dan Williams has been the heartbeat of The New Saints’ title-winning team. Captain Danny Redmond was the only outfield player to clock more league minutes than Williams, who quietly but efficiently goes about his business in the middle of the park.
Manager of the Season

Rhys Griffiths – Penybont
An excellent league campaign for Penybont saw the club achieve a best-ever finish as they claimed the runners-up position and with it a place in the UEFA Conference League qualifiers next season. Highlights from the season include two victories over champions TNS and Rhys Griffiths will be looking forward to second European adventure in what will be his tenth season at the club.
Craig Harrison – The New Saints
While a historic first ever League Phase campaign in the UEFA Conference League led to inconsistent results early in the season, The New Saints showed their emphatic quality after Christmas and secured their 17th league title by 14 points. Craig Harrison has built a side capable of fighting on multiple fronts as they went on to achieve a domestic treble for a record third time.
Tony Pennock – Haverfordwest County
With one of the youngest squads in the JD Cymru Premier, Tony Pennock will be immensely proud to finish the season in third place and with it have the opportunity to qualify for Europe as the Bluebirds prepare to host Caernarfon Town in the Play-Off Final. The Pembrokeshire side also boast the best defensive record in the league, conceding just 26 goals in 32 games.
Young Player of the Season

James Crole – Penybont
After his exit from Cardiff City last summer, Crole scored twice on his Penybont debut and finished the season with 16 goals to share the golden boot – thanks to a red hot streak of nine in his final seven matches. The 21-year-old will now hope to set Europe alight after helping to secure a second-place finish.
Gabe Kircough – Penybont
Naturally a midfielder, Gabe Kircough has been forced to cover in defence for Penybont for the majority of this season due to injuries and excelled like he has played there for a decade or more. The Pontardawe Town academy product only turned 21 years old in March but plays with a maturity above his years.
Louis Lloyd – Caernarfon Town
The fact that Louis Lloyd is also a nominee for the Player of the Year award shows just how influential his goal contributions for Caernarfon Town have been this season despite being just 21 years old. The forward players without fear and has a confidence and belief in his ability that has caused problems for defences across the JD Cymru Premier all season.
