The Cymru Football Foundation is delighted to announce Aaron Ramsey as the charity’s first Ambassador.
Cymru’s captain commits to supporting the CFF’s mission to develop football facilities and enrich communities – building on the £20million already invested by the Cymru Football Foundation into communities across the country since 2022.
Speaking for the first time as Ambassador, Ramsey said:
“It’s brought me so much pride representing Cymru at three major tournaments including the World Cup so far during my career and seeing the impact it’s made to football at home.
“To continue this success that we’ve seen over the last decade, having the right facilities is so important. That’s why I’m so excited to support the Cymru Football Foundation with their ambitions to ensure all communities have access to inspirational and fit-for-future facilities.”
Cymru Football Foundation Director, Aled Lewis said:
“We’re elated to have passed the £20m mark in investments across Cymru. This is, however, only one of many milestones to come if we’re going to reach our aim of making sure that everyone across Cymru can access high-quality facilities all year round, along with appropriate facilities for the fast-growing female game.
“As someone who has performed at the highest level and contributed so much to Welsh football on and off the pitch, we are thrilled to have Aaron supporting what we do at the Cymru Football Foundation.”
The CFF supports the development of football through investment and guidance as it delivers the Football Association of Wales’ commitment to develop inspirational fit-for-future football facilities that will improve and grow Welsh football both on and off the pitch.
