The Cymru Football Foundation is proud to announce becoming the first organisation in Wales to join Common Goal – the global football movement inspiring radical collaboration to transform communities through football.
The CFF joins a global team of organisations that are using football to support our people and planet, working in more than 200 communities across over 90 countries and serve more than 1.3 million vulnerable children and young people.
Since 2022, we’ve invested over £15million across Wales to create inspirational fit-for-future football facilities that enrich communities.
Common Goal is a global impact movement for the world of football, rooted in the belief that the world’s most popular sport is one of the few cultural forces strong enough to help shift towards a more sustainable and equitable future for all.
The movement unites organisations, athletes, clubs, brand and other stakeholders in football to radically collaborate towards the wellbeing of our people and planet. To do so, Common Goal develops impact solutions to tackle humanity’s biggest challenges and provides opportunities for everyone that is part of football’s community to contribute.
“Becoming a member of Common Goal, the first in Wales, is a huge positive step for the Cymru Football Foundation. We’re delighted to join a network of organisations that are making a positive difference across the globe.
“Having attended the recent Common Goal Forum, it was inspiring to see the impact this community is having in utilising the power of football to improve lives and communities. We look forward to being an active member of the Common Goal community and working with member organisations to improve the lives of people in Wales and across the globe.”

The FAW simultaneously becomes the first National Association of Football to join Common Goal, initially pledging 1% of ticket sales from the FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers to projects that create meaningful social value for the people and communities of Wales.
