The FAW at Wales Week in London

The FAW will be part of two public events in London, England over the next few weeks as part of Wales Week in London.

Wales Week London is an annual showcase of activities and events that celebrate and promote everything that is great about Wales. It is an opportunity for Welsh organisations to promote their products and services, and develop new London-based audiences, partnerships and connections.

On Wednesday 28 February (6:30pm) Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales will be hosting ‘The Art of Activisim’ panel, which will include the FAW’s Head of Public Relations and Culture, Ian Gwyn Hughes. The panel will share their personal histories of advocating for change in relation to industrial action, the Welsh language, and anti-racism protest. Art and advocacy are intertwined, so the panel will be discussing items from the National Collection which resonate with them to bring their stories to life. More information about the event can be found here.

As part of International Women’s Day 2024 celebrations, the ‘Amplify – Women in Sport Leadership’ panel will take place on Wednesday 6 March (5:30pm). FAW Chair Alys Carlton will be part of the panel alongside guests from Team Wales, Sport Wales and the Welsh Rugby Union discussing and encourage business leaders to bring to life their EDI targets and strategies. More information about the event can be found here.
