The FAW launched its new Coach educator programme ahead of the international fixture between Cymru and Latvia.
The launch saw over 100 tutors of all levels from across Wales attend the unveiling of the training programme.
Those in attendance were joined by FAW President Steve Williams, Chief Executive Officer Noel Mooney, Chief Football Officer Dr David Adams, and UEFA Technical Instructor and JIRA panel member for Coach Education, John Peacock.
The Coach Educator programme will keep our tutor workforce engaged in continuous professional development, ensuring courses are kept up-to-date and the best coach education is delivered to our football family.
The FAW have traditionally developed coach educators through a internal training system, only accessible to coach educators.
This newly launched tutor training programme will ensure alignment and quality assurance across all our education offers, across the association, to include coach educators and our wider tutor workforce who deliver courses such as EDI, Medical and Huddle.
“Supporting our workforce to become world leading educators across all levels of our pathway is a key factor to our future success in being a World class coaching nation.”
James Rowberry, Head of Elite Coach Education at the FAW
