Club and Community Review
The Second Step of the Clwb PAWB Framework is to Conduct a Club and Community Review
This step aims to enable Equality Champions to reflect and evaluate their Club and community to consider new opportunities and where improvements can be made in developing a diverse and inclusive environment informing the development of your Clwb PAWB Action Plan.
Having awareness of the various groups that are not represented in your Club that exist in your community can provide opportunities to grow your membership by attracting new players and volunteers through targeted community engagement.

Club Reflection
Using the reflective questions in the Club Reflection Toolkit as a guide, evaluate the Club’s current situation using the RAG scoring system and note some initial reflections and actions for improvement, which can be used as a guide in the following steps of the Clwb PAWB Programme.
Community Mapping
Knowledge of your community can be achieved through gaining an awareness of different individuals, organisations and groups in the area.
Having a better understanding of your local community can help your Club to identify opportunities available to promote your Club and grow its membership by attracting new volunteers and Members.
You can increase your understanding of your community by using the ‘Community Mapping Toolkit.
Equality and Diversity Audit
An Equality and Diversity audit is an essential tool to assess the diversity of Club Members and Officials so that a Club can take appropriate steps to address any underrepresentation and monitor the progress of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives. Without this data, it will not be possible to identify any current areas of under-representation at the Club or any potential inequalities which will make it much more difficult to tackle these issues.
The results from the Equality and Diversity Audit can highlight the focus of your target audience when mapping out your Club’s community.
Audit Template
The Equality and Diversity Audit template provides recommended questions to ask through a survey to obtain representation data to analyse. We recommend hosting the survey online using a tool such as Survey Monkey, Google Forms or Microsoft Forms or you can use the ‘Audit Template’ for your Club Members and Officials to complete the survey on paper. The form must be completed anonymously, and confidentiality should be considered at all times. Children and young people under the age of 18 will need to have parental consent before completing the survey or should be completed by a parent or guardian.
