Equality Champion Appointment
The First Step of the Clwb PAWB Framework is to Appoint an Equality Champion at Your Club
The purpose of an Equality Champion is to lead in establishing, developing and promoting equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI), by implementing the Clwb PAWB Framework, and consistently being an advocate throughout the Club.
Being an Equality Champion is an important role and will provide an opportunity to develop new skills, obtain qualifications and a sense of self-achievement and fulfilment in giving something back to the local community.
A nominated Equality Champion can be assigned to the role on COMET as a Club Official by the Club’s COMET Champion.
Induction
Equality Champion Training
Upon being appointed as an Equality Champion it is a requirement to complete the Equality Champion role online training within a year of being appointed.
Following completion of the training, the Club’s COMET Champion will be able to upload the CLWB PAWB (Equality Champion) certificate on COMET.
Development Planning
Personal EDI Learning Plan
Increasing your understanding and knowledge across all equality areas is important as you progress in your role so you are continuously up to date with emerging issues and EDI trends.
Ongoing development for Equality Champions will also be provided through the PAWB Education Programme.

Conference
Club PAWB Summit
Each summer Equality Champions will participate in the Clwb PAWB Summit which provides an opportunity to further develop an understanding of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and connect with others who are passionate about driving change in football. A range of sessions will be delivered by experts in EDI throughout the day with an opportunity for Equality Champions to showcase their Clubs initiatives, share their experiences and provide practical tips through both panel discussions and presentations.

Equality Champion Network
