Cymru U21 squad announced for Liechtenstein and Lithuania

Matty Jones has named his Cymru Under 21 squad for the September international window.

Jones has selected a 23-player squad for his side’s home friendly against Liechtenstein on Friday 8 September and their second 2025 UEFA U21 European Championship qualifier against Lithuania four days later.

Luke Harris, who has received multiple call-ups to Rob Page’s senior team, is named in the under 21 squad for the first time. Cardiff City midfielder Joel Colwill has also received his first call-up and joins his brother Rubin in the squad.

Ed Turns returns after missing out on the June camp through injury and fellow defender Joe Low, who was selected in the senior squad in the last international window, is also named in Jones’ squad.

Cymru will look to build on their positive start to the qualifying campaign after Rubin Colwill’s brace earned them a 2-2 draw against the top seeds in Group I Denmark.

The fixture against Liechtenstein will take place at Rodney Parade, with a 4:30pm kick-off in Newport. While the away qualifier against Lithuania gets under way at 4pm at Jonava Stadium.

Tickets for the Liechtenstein fixture can be purchased below and both matches will be available to watch on Sgorio’s digital platforms.
