Quadrennial Re-Elections for the FAW Council

The Football Association of Wales Council Elections recently took place but five of the elections resulted in a draw between the candidates. 

As a result, a re-election process will take place for the following leagues and Area Association in accordance with the processes and procedures used for the quadrennial elections: 

Cymru Premier 

Cymru South

Adran South 

Ardal Southern League (West Wales) 

West Wales Football Association 

As part of this process, member clubs in the Leagues and Area Association listed above, will be invited to nominate candidates to stand in the re-elections and vote for their chosen representative on the FAW Council. 

The names of all the clubs participating in the elections can be seen by clicking on the relevant leagues or area association above. 

The nomination and election process will take place in accordance with the following timetable: 

  • 11 August – Nomination forms issued to clubs.
  • 25 August – Completed nomination form to be returned on or before this date. 
  • 25 August – Nominated candidates’ letters of intent to stand in the election to be received by the FAW on or before this date. 
  • 28 August – Nominated candidates to return signed and completed election documents to the FAW by this date. 
  • 1 September – Voting papers to be issued to clubs. 
  • 22 September – Completed voting papers to be returned to the FAW by this date. 
  • 25 September – Counting of the voting papers to take place.
