
Pontardawe Town and Bangor City 1876 will compete in the 2026 Dragon Signs Amateur Trophy Final following semi-final victories on Saturday afternoon.
Pontardawe Town, finalists in this competition in 2019, were 3-0 winners against Porthcawl Town Athletic at Victoria Road.
Christian Davies’ side took control of the contest with two goals in the space of eight minutes midway through the first half, as Steffan Jenkins opened the scoring before Kyle Copp doubled the advantage.
The Ardal South West side came into the tie in impressive form an sealed victory in the 67th minute when Josh Dorward added his name to the scoresheet.

Meanwhile, a blistering second half display saw Bangor City 1876 triumph 7-1 over Penmaenmawr Phoenix at the Blue Turtle Arena.
It was actually Phoenix who took the lead through Toby Jones after 16 minutes, with Bangor not levelling until first half stoppage time when Adam Long found the net.
However, the Ardal North West leaders took control of the tie after the break as Dylan Summers-Jones put them ahead on 49 minutes before Declan McManus doubled the advantage just before the hour mark.
An own goal from Anthony Marshall increased Phoenix’s woes, while Josh Carey scored twice in the space of three minutes to make it 6-1. Substitute Corrig McGonigle completed the scoring late on as Michael Johnston’s team eased into the Final.
Pontardawe Town and Bangor City 1876 will meet in the Dragon Signs Amateur Trophy Final on Saturday 25 April, with a neutral venue to be confirmed in due course.
