Be.FC
For many girls, football is more than a game. It’s a place to belong, build confidence, spend time with friends and be part of something bigger.
Yet across Wales, too many teen girls drift away from physical activity at a time when staying connected, active and confident matters most.
BE.FC was created to change that.
BE.FC, short for BE. Football Community, is a recreational football programme designed specifically for girls aged 12–16. It offers a flexible, welcoming environment where girls can enjoy football on their own terms, connect with others and build lasting friendships.
More than football, BE.FC is a community.

BE.FC is designed around flexibility, friendship and fun.
Sessions follow a simple “Turn Up and Play” approach, removing many of the barriers that can prevent girls from staying involved in football. There are no complex commitments or expectations, just an opportunity to take part, enjoy the game and be part of a welcoming community.
Each session combines football activities with dedicated social time, creating space for girls to connect, build relationships and feel part of something bigger than the sport itself.
Because BE.FC was designed with girls rather than for girls, it reflects what teen girls told us they wanted most: a safe, inclusive environment where they can be themselves.

By creating opportunities that are flexible, relevant and shaped by young people themselves, BE.FC is helping to ensure that more girls can continue enjoying the benefits of football during their teenage years and beyond.
A Community Where Girls Can Belong
At its heart, BE.FC exists because girls told us what they needed.
They wanted football without pressure.
They wanted somewhere to spend time with friends.
They wanted a space where they could feel welcome, supported and confident.
BE.FC is the result of those conversations, a community built by girls, for girls, where football becomes a vehicle for connection, confidence and belonging
